The newest Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis trailer is the one-minute 30th-anniversary sneak peek released on October 25, 2026. It shows Lara Croft fighting, exploring recognizable locations and set pieces, performing acrobatic flips and using bullet-time slow motion during special moves. The Unreal Engine 5 reimagining launches February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Nintendo Switch 2.
What does the new Legacy of Atlantis trailer show?
The anniversary teaser is brief, but it confirms the game’s emphasis on traversal, gunplay and cinematic set pieces rather than presenting only pre-rendered footage. Lara moves through dangerous environments, shoots enemies and performs athletic maneuvers that echo the original game’s identity while using modern animation and camera work.

Is Legacy of Atlantis a remake of the original Tomb Raider?

How are the levels being redesigned?
Peru’s Lost Valley has been rebuilt as a set of semi-connected spaces that can be approached from multiple angles. That layout suggests more freedom in how players reach objectives than the largely linear original. Familiar puzzles are also being reconsidered: the classic cog puzzle, for example, has been redesigned rather than copied unchanged.
What is the story and where does Lara travel?
Lara Croft searches for scattered pieces of the Scion across a globe-spanning route. The confirmed settings are Peru, Greece, Egypt and a mysterious Mediterranean island, giving the reimagining several distinct environments and archaeological themes.
