Amazon Games announced that New World: Aeternum Season 7, “Season of Conquerors,” would launch on January 21, 2025. Its headline feature was a limited-time, PvP-focused Seasonal World, alongside M3 Expedition changes, new artifacts, a Coral Divide Outpost Rush preview, seasonal events, and Free and Premium Season Pass tracks. The date and activities below describe the historical announcement, not upcoming content.
When did New World Season 7 start?
Amazon Games announced Season 7 for January 21, 2025. The January 20 release notes scheduled maintenance to begin at 5:00 a.m. PT (1:00 p.m. UTC) and estimated it would last about two hours; that was a planned downtime window, not a guarantee of the precise time servers became playable. What was the main Season 7 feature?
PvP Seasonal Worlds
Seasonal Worlds were presented as limited-time worlds with their own rules, items, and abilities. Season 7’s version emphasized PvP: characters were flagged for PvP starting at Level 15, and powerful new resources and gear could drop when a player died. The plan was for these worlds to close at season’s end, with characters able to transfer to a permanent world of the player’s choice. These were the announced rules and transfer plan for that season, not a statement about current world availability.
What gameplay changes and activities were announced?
M3 Expeditions
The update planned one gear loadout for all M3 mutated expeditions, Activity Finder matchmaking, improved rewards, and fixes related to expedition AI and targeting.

Coral Divide Outpost Rush preview
The new Outpost Rush map was described as having a central trench, NPCs, and bridges that could open alternate routes. A later official archive entry scheduled its preview from February 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. UTC through February 10 at 3:00 p.m. UTC. That preview period has passed.
Seasonal events
The announced in-game events were Siege of Sulfur, Legacy of Crassus, and Rabbit’s Revenge. Their inclusion in the Season 7 plans does not mean they are currently available.
Which artifacts were included?
The release notes listed eight new artifacts, with unlock routes varying by item and including quests, event participation, crafting, and defeating named enemies.

What did the Season 7 Pass offer?
The pass had Free and Premium tracks. The Premium track was listed at 20,000 Marks of Fortune and included the Free track’s rewards, plus weapon and armor skins, emotes, Transmog Tokens, rare resources, boosters, and dyes. The Free track included themed tool, mask, and tent skins; artifacts Otzi and Heceta; tokens, dyes, and consumables. These are the reward descriptions and listed price in the Season 7 release notes, not a current offer.

What was Amazon Games’ wording?
The official announcement stated: “Prepare for battle in New World: Aeternum’s Season 7, launching on January 21, 2025.” The announcement was published by Amazon Games; the quoted sentence was not attributed to a named spokesperson.
