Verify the installed Skyrim edition and game version, then compare it with the SKSE64 release intended for that distribution. SKSE64’s official instructions place its files beside the game’s executable and require the files to match the distribution and game version. Check that installation folder rather than copying a DLL into System32 or another Windows directory.
