To see all five endings in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, complete the first two routes for A and B, collect all 33 weapon types before the later route’s final encounter to unlock C or D, then start a new game after D to reach E. Important: Choosing D deletes your save data; read the save warning before making that choice.
Ending requirements at a glance

How to unlock each ending
Ending A: finish the first route
Complete the first playthrough. When it ends, continue from the completed game file rather than treating the story as finished; that file leads into the next route.
Ending B: complete the second route
Play through the second route to its conclusion. It revisits the story with altered sequences and ends with Ending B.

Endings C and D: collect every weapon, then choose
Before finishing the later route, obtain all 33 weapon types. The total includes weapons from the 15 Nightmares dungeons. Make sure the collection is complete before proceeding to the final encounter: the choice there determines whether you see C or D.
- Choose to kill Kaine for Ending C.
- Choose to sacrifice yourself for Kaine for Ending D—and the save-data deletion described below.
Ending E: begin again after D
Once you have seen D, start a new game and progress to The Aerie. This begins the alternate story route associated with E. At the end, choose “Yes” when prompted to restore the save associated with D.

Spoiler warning: what to know before choosing D
Ending D deletes game save data. If you have multiple saves, back up the one you intend to preserve before choosing D. The later E route can restore the save associated with D, but the recovery applies to the save used for that ending—not every save. The route instructions also advise using a different name when starting the new game after D. These details are documented in the PowerPyx trophy guide and Samurai Gamers guide.

These requirements are for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, the updated action RPG released in 2021. Square Enix announced the edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, with a release date of April 23, 2021.
