Is it a new sequel or a remaster?
NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black is a remaster of the 2008 game, not a newly released mainline sequel. The official Team NINJA site says the remaster also incorporates additional elements from spin-off titles released after the original. The official game site describes the game, and KOEI TECMO America identifies 2008 as the original game’s debut year.
