The lead reveals were Metroid Ravenous and Kirby and the World Beyond, which Nintendo described as Switch 2 exclusives. Other announcements range from games available to play now to titles with future release windows, so the full lineup is not a list of games out today.
What Nintendo announced for Switch 2
Nintendo presented a mixed-platform showcase: some games are exclusive to Switch 2, while others are coming to both Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. The presentation also included enhanced editions, new footage and information, game updates, and a montage of additional titles. The distinction matters: a library addition or update is not the same as a new standalone Switch 2 game.

Lead reveals
- Metroid Ravenous: A new 2D action adventure featuring Samus Aran, announced as a Switch 2 exclusive.
- Kirby and the World Beyond: A new 3D Kirby adventure and Switch 2 exclusive. Nintendo gave it a spring 2027 release window.
Other prominent Switch 2 announcements
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition and Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy are expanded or enhanced editions, rather than newly announced franchises.
- Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition were also highlighted.
- Nintendo showed new content for Pokémon Pokopia, Mario Kart World and Star Fox.
- Star Fox Adventures is joining the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library. That is a subscription-library addition, not a new standalone Switch 2 release.
Other highlighted games
Nintendo also highlighted Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Monster Hunter Wilds, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Persona 6, Persona 4 Revival, Meccha Chameleon, Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition and Mega Man: Dual Override. These announcements should not all be read as Switch 2 exclusives: Nintendo’s recap specifies platform attribution by title, and the games have different platform details.

Which games are available now, and which are upcoming?
Nintendo UK’s Direct page separates games it labels “Available to play today!” from those in its preorder section. That is a useful status distinction, but it reflects Nintendo UK’s page and regional listings; availability can differ elsewhere.

These are examples from Nintendo UK’s status groupings, not a complete release calendar. For timing beyond those labels, use the date or window Nintendo gives for the specific game. For example, Nintendo says Kirby and the World Beyond is due in spring 2027. Nintendo also announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX launches for Switch 2 and Switch on February 16, 2027.

What the announcements mean for players
- New game or edition? The Direct included brand-new adventures as well as expanded or enhanced editions and content additions. Check the title’s description before treating it as a separate new game.
- Exclusive or multi-platform? Nintendo explicitly called Metroid Ravenous and Kirby and the World Beyond Switch 2 exclusives. The broader list includes titles with different platform details.
- Game, update or library addition? The presentation covered full games, updates and additions to Nintendo’s Classics library. Those categories do not share the same release or access requirements.
- Out now or upcoming? Nintendo UK’s available-today and preorder labels distinguish current availability from upcoming releases on that page. They do not mean every game in the Direct is available now.
Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX physical edition detail
Nintendo says physical versions of Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX include three Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game cards. This detail applies to that game’s physical versions; it does not establish physical editions for the other announced titles.
