March 2026 has passed, and there was no single official eight-game list of Nintendo Switch 2 releases for the month. Nintendo Australia featured eight games across Switch 2 and the original Switch; Nintendo Canada featured nine Switch 2 titles in its regional roundup. The lists overlap, but they are not the same.
Why the “eight games” count needs context
Nintendo Australia’s 3 March 2026 roundup, “Upcoming games – March 2026”, featured eight entries across both Nintendo Switch systems. One, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, was listed for Nintendo Switch, while Scott Pilgrim EX was listed for both Switch 2 and Switch. The other six entries were listed for Switch 2.

Nintendo Canada’s 9 March roundup, “See what games are arriving this March”, listed nine titles for Switch 2, plus MLB The Show 26 for the original Switch. These were regional selections, not a claim that either article covered every release. The eight-game headline therefore describes Australia’s featured entries, not a universal total of Switch 2 releases.
March 2026 Switch 2 release dates in Nintendo’s regional roundups
The table combines titles from the Australian and Canadian selections. “Available now” reflects the wording in Nintendo Canada’s 9 March article; it is not a precise launch date. Platform labels follow Nintendo’s regional listings.

What “Switch 2 Edition” means for an existing copy
Nintendo’s schedule notes that owners of eligible Nintendo Switch editions may be able to buy an upgrade pack for certain Switch 2 Editions. That does not establish the upgrade terms for every game. Check the specific game’s regional listing to see whether it is a full edition, an upgrade pack, or both, and what base game is required.
