Update No Man’s Sky from the App Store before trying anything else. The launch-week iOS build, Forsaken 7.10.4, specifically fixes an iCloud error loop caused by full iCloud storage, a rare iCloud-sync failure, an Anomaly teleporter crash, and a crash while warping to another system. If those fixes do not resolve your problem, check that the iPhone or iPad meets both Apple’s technical requirements and Hello Games’ supported-device floor, then work through the iCloud and stutter checks below.
This guide covers the native iPhone and iPad App Store release. It does not cover cloud streaming, Nintendo Switch, or an Android edition. Your iOS save uses Apple iCloud; Hello Games’ separate cross-save service still lists PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and Mac, not iPhone or iPad.

What should I check before troubleshooting?
Confirm the app version, operating-system version, available storage, and exact device model first. A feature that is unavailable by design can look like a crash or connection failure, and older launch builds contain issues already addressed in the current listing.
- Open the App Store and view the No Man’s Sky product page. The US storefront’s launch-week listing is Forsaken 7.10.4.
- Check Settings → General → Software Update and install iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later if your device supports it.
- Make sure at least 4 GB of device storage is free for the app’s stated requirement, with additional headroom for the operating system and other apps.
- Write down the iPhone or iPad model and iOS/iPadOS build before reporting a remaining fault.
Do not apply PC repair instructions to the iOS app. Steam file verification, shader-cache deletion, edits to TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML, and Windows driver or Visual C++ repairs are not iPhone or iPad procedures.

Which iPhone and iPad models can run No Man’s Sky?
Apple’s listing requires iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later, an A12 Bionic chip or newer, at least 4 GB of RAM, and 4 GB of available storage. Hello Games names iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air as its playable floor. The two lists do not line up perfectly, so treat an App Store compatibility result as permission to download, not a promise of the same supported experience on every model.

If you own an XS, XS Max, XR, or an A12 iPad below the third-generation Air, check the live App Store page for that exact model and expect uncertainty even when Apple marks it compatible. Hello Games has not published an iOS frame-rate target, battery-hour figure, thermal-throttle temperature, or crash-rate percentage.

Updating is the first fix because Apple’s Forsaken 7.10.4 notes name the launch-week crash and iCloud problems directly.
- Open App Store → search No Man’s Sky → No Man’s Sky.
- Tap Update if it is shown. If the button says Open, pull down on the product page to refresh the listing and check again later.
- Wait for the download and installation to finish, then launch the game while connected to a stable network.
- Check the version shown on the title or information screen and record it if the problem remains.
The 7.10.4 “What’s New” notes say Apple fixed “an issue that would cause the player to be stuck in an iCloud sync error message loop on the front end if iCloud storage was full,” “a rare issue that could cause iCloud sync to fail,” “a crash that could occur when using the teleporter in the Anomaly,” and “a crash that could occur while warping to another system.”
Hello Games released Steam patch 7.11 on 29 October 2026 with overlapping stability fixes and said the patch would reach other platforms as soon as possible. The iOS listing at launch-week check is 7.10.4, so use the App Store build number rather than assuming the Steam number applies to your device.

How do I fix a crash in the Anomaly teleporter or during a warp?
Those two crash locations are specifically addressed by 7.10.4. If you are on an earlier 7.10.x build, updating is the supported remedy; do not attempt to repair iOS files manually.

Install the current App Store update, relaunch the game, and test the teleporter again. If the crash still occurs on 7.10.4 or newer, avoid repeatedly forcing the same transition. Note the device model, iOS/iPadOS version, app build, and what destination or menu action preceded the crash, then submit the report through Hello Games’ Zendesk support channel.
Warp-to-another-system crash
Use the same update-and-report sequence. Include whether the crash happens on every destination or only one system, whether it occurs from the galaxy map or another route, and whether a reload changes the result. This information helps separate a reproducible location fault from a broader installation or device problem.
Do not confuse a missing feature with a crash: multiplayer is disabled on every iOS device, and Settlements are gated to iPhone 15 Pro and above. Neither condition indicates a failed network connection or damaged save.
How do I fix a No Man’s Sky iCloud sync error loop?
Hello Games tied the front-end sync loop named in 7.10.4 to full Apple iCloud storage. Free space in iCloud, then let the app complete a fresh synchronization without force-closing it.

- On the iPhone or iPad, open Settings → [your name] → iCloud and check the storage bar. Remove old device backups, large Photos items, or unused app data until iCloud is no longer full.
- Keep the device online. Force-quit No Man’s Sky once, relaunch it, and leave the title screen open while synchronization finishes.
- Do not swipe the app away or shut down the device during an active sync.
- If the loop or a rare sync failure continues after storage is available and the app is updated, file a Hello Games bug report with “iCloud sync” in the description and include the device, operating-system, and app versions.
No exact free-space threshold has been published for this game; the actionable condition in the release note is that iCloud must not be full. Buying additional iCloud capacity may create room, but it is not a game patch or a guaranteed fix for a different synchronization fault.
Why is my PC or console save missing on iPhone?
Apple iCloud synchronization and Hello Games cross-save are separate systems. An iPhone save can synchronize between Apple devices through iCloud without importing a PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Switch, or Mac save.
Hello Games’ live cross-save wording says: “Whether you play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, or Mac, you can share your progress across multiple devices.” That page allows a maximum of five saves on Hello Games’ cross-platform storage, but it does not list iPhone or iPad. The iOS announcement and the Forsaken notes also do not add iOS to that service.
Do not delete a long-running console or computer save expecting it to appear in the App Store copy. A report that a PlayStation or PC save is absent from iOS is expected behavior until Hello Games officially adds iOS to the cross-save platform list. A contrary claim published elsewhere is not confirmation from the studio.

How do I reduce No Man’s Sky stuttering on an iPhone?
Stuttering is not identified as a named iOS defect in the 7.10.4 notes. Hello Games says the mobile engine was tuned for battery life and thermodynamics, graphics load per device and can be adjusted, and the game performs universe generation on the device. Those facts make scene-dependent hitching possible, but the studio has not published iOS frame-time measurements or a per-model frame-rate cap.

- Install iOS/iPadOS 26.0 or later and the newest No Man’s Sky build available for your device.
- Restart the iPhone or iPad, close unnecessary background apps, and disable Screen Recording or other overlays while diagnosing the issue.
- Open the game’s graphics options and lower the adjustable quality settings described in Hello Games’ launch materials. Change one setting at a time and revisit the same location so the comparison is meaningful.
- Test while the device is cool. Phones can reduce performance when heat rises; Hello Games specifically describes battery and thermodynamic work as a design goal. There is no published temperature threshold or requirement to purchase a cooler.
- If the device is charging and warming through a cheap or uncertified Lightning or USB-C hub, remove the hub for the test.
- Record whether the hitch happens during the first load of a planet, when entering a busy area, or continuously during movement. Include that pattern in a Zendesk report if it persists.
Sean Murray described MetalFX and M-class CPUs as part of the iOS performance path, while Hello Games’ iOS support note says the engine is “optimised for battery life and thermodynamics, allowing for long, comfortable play sessions on mobile.” Those are design statements, not a promise of identical performance across iPhone 11, standard iPhone 15, and Pro models.
Advice about deleting Steam shader caches, changing Vulkan texture streaming, editing TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML, or applying Intel Iris workarounds belongs to PC troubleshooting and should not be copied to iOS.
Could a missing feature be mistaken for a crash or sync problem?
Several launch limitations are intentional. Treat them as platform behavior unless the game itself closes unexpectedly.

- Multiplayer: Hello Games says it is not supported on any iPhone or iPad. A missing multiplayer session is not an iCloud failure.
- Planetary Settlements: Hello Games names iPhone 15 Pro and above. A standard iPhone 15 is not included in that statement, and no iPad Settlements cut-off has been published.
- Older A12 devices: Apple’s matrix includes XS, XS Max, and XR, while Hello Games names iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air as its floor. Compatibility therefore needs to be checked model by model.
- Android: The mobile release shipped as an iPhone and iPad App Store app. Hello Games has not announced an Android edition.
The App Store app is free to download with a trial and a one-time Full Game Unlock. Apple lists the US unlock at $19.99, checked November 2026; regional listings reported ₹1,999 in India and PhP1,290.00 in the Philippines. The live regional storefront is the authority for the amount charged.
What information should I send Hello Games?
After updating and completing the relevant iCloud or graphics checks, report the remaining issue rather than repeating destructive PC fixes. Hello Games’ 7.11 communication directs players to Zendesk and says the team is continuing to listen for stability problems.

For an iCloud report, write “iCloud sync” in the subject or description. For a crash report, state whether you are already on 7.10.4 or a newer build and attach the steps that reliably lead to the closure.
What is known about the iOS port’s scope?
This is the full No Man’s Sky universe rather than a reduced mobile mode. Sean Murray said the iOS release includes more than forty major updates, including COSMOS, and Hello Games’ Forsaken page describes a touch interface built from the ground up. The App Store listing shows a 3.8 GB install size; Murray described the download as under 4 GB.

Hello Games says the iOS release supports touch and controllers, and iPad play can use a mouse and keyboard; TV casting is also supported. These are input and display options, not documented repairs for crashes, stutter, or synchronization.
Has Hello Games published an iOS frame-rate target or battery-runtime figure?
No. The studio has discussed battery life, thermodynamics, MetalFX, and M-class CPUs as engineering goals, but it has not published an FPS target, battery-hour rating, thermal limit, or crash-rate percentage for individual iPhone and iPad models.
