Nu Udra Gamma is high-rank Gamma armor in Monster Hunter Wilds. The event guide Game8 lists “Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame” as the source of its crafting materials and sets the quest’s Hunter Rank requirement at 100. The event schedule shown there is historical, so it does not confirm that the quest is available now. For builds, Icy Veins highlights Burst and Resentment and uses the Udra Mirehelm γ in a Dual Blades example; that is one possible use, not a universal recommendation.
What is the Nu Udra Gamma set?
Nu Udra Gamma is a hunter armor set in Monster Hunter Wilds, separate from the regular Nu Udra Alpha and Beta armor tiers. It is also distinct from Felyne Nu Udra Gamma equipment, which is for your Palico rather than your hunter. Game8 lists both categories, and Icy Veins identifies the Felyne gear as Palico equipment.

How to get Nu Udra Gamma armor
Game8 names the event quest “Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame” as the source of crafting materials for Nu Udra Gamma armor and the matching Felyne set. The guide lists Hunter Rank 100 as the quest requirement. Its displayed event schedule ended on 11 November (ET); that is a past schedule, not evidence that the quest is currently active.
When the event quest is available, complete it to earn the materials, then check the smithy’s armor crafting list for the Gamma pieces. The cited guide does not establish the current event rotation, so check the in-game event quest list for present availability.

Why Nu Udra Gamma may not appear at the smithy
If you have hunted Arch-Tempered Nu Udra but cannot find the set, that alone does not establish that the armor should be craftable. A Steam Community discussion titled “Nu udra gamma set no appearing” includes a player reporting a similar problem despite having hunted the monster and holding materials. Replies mention checking the forge list and a Gamma ticket, but these are player comments, not a confirmed fix: read the discussion.
- Check whether “Be Cursed, Ye Shadowy Flame” is currently listed among the event quests; the schedule in Game8’s guide is historical.
- Confirm that you earned the materials needed for the Gamma armor. The cited sources do not provide a complete, authoritative material checklist.
- Look through the smithy’s hunter armor crafting options for the Gamma pieces, rather than the separate Felyne equipment list.
The available sources do not verify a general smithy bug, a platform-specific cause, or an official troubleshooting fix.
What skills does Nu Udra Gamma use?
Icy Veins associates Nu Udra Gamma with Burst and Resentment and includes the Udra Mirehelm γ in an example Dual Blades build. That example shows how a piece can fit into a weapon-specific setup; it does not establish that the whole set is the best choice for Dual Blades or any other weapon. Whether a Gamma piece suits your build depends on the skills your weapon benefits from, the other armor pieces you combine with it, and the set bonus or bonuses that combination gains or gives up. Icy Veins’ guide changelog records an update for Title Update 4 on 28 December 2025. That date provides context for the guide, but does not prove its recommendations remain optimal as of 8 October 2026.
