Update: NVIDIA’s promotion was real, but it is no longer available. The offer ended on January 8, 2024, and PC Game Pass codes had to be redeemed by February 22, 2024. Old headlines and retailer pages may still make it appear current.
What the 2023 NVIDIA bundle included
NVIDIA’s “GeForce RTX 40 Series Play Beyond Fast with RTX Bundle” gave buyers of participating desktop GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards three months of PC Game Pass. In selected countries, the bundle also included three months of GeForce NOW Priority.

NVIDIA advertised the combined value as $60. The two benefits were separate, however: PC Game Pass provided access to a changing catalog of downloadable PC games, while GeForce NOW streamed supported games from NVIDIA’s cloud servers.

Which GPUs qualified?
NVIDIA listed these GPU families:
- GeForce RTX 4090
- GeForce RTX 4080
- GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
- GeForce RTX 4070
- GeForce RTX 4060 Ti
- GeForce RTX 4060
That list did not mean every card with one of those names automatically qualified. Eligibility depended on the specific participating product or partner, retailer, country and promotion terms. The offer was aimed at desktop graphics cards; do not assume that every RTX 40 Series laptop qualified.

NVIDIA’s terms restricted the PC Game Pass offer to new Xbox Game Pass members. A valid payment method was required, and the promotion was limited to one code per person or account. Unless canceled, the subscription converted to the regular paid membership after the promotional period.

Existing or previous subscribers should not assume they qualified. Canceling an existing subscription also should not be treated as a guaranteed way to meet the original terms.
Regional restrictions
The promotion covered many regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, much of Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea and countries across Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The exact benefits varied by country.
GeForce NOW Priority was unavailable in some participating countries. NVIDIA’s terms also listed country-specific GPU exclusions, including cases where the RTX 4090 was not eligible. The PC Game Pass code could not be redeemed in Argentina, Libya, Russia or Turkey under the listed terms. The original terms remain the best source for the complete historical country breakdown.
How redemption worked
The original process generally worked as follows:
- Buy an eligible participating product during the promotion period.
- Receive redemption instructions from NVIDIA or the participating retailer.
- Install the graphics card in the eligible system.
- Open NVIDIA’s redemption flow, historically through GeForce Experience or the related rewards interface.
- Sign in to an NVIDIA account and claim the bundle.
- Redeem the PC Game Pass code through Microsoft’s redemption page, historically
microsoft.com/redeem. - Complete Microsoft’s subscription activation requirements.
Those steps describe the expired promotion, not a currently working redemption route. An old code may be expired, previously claimed or region-locked.

PC Game Pass versus GeForce NOW

They were bundled together, but one service did not replace the other. GeForce NOW also did not automatically make every Game Pass title available for streaming.
Why the deal still appears online
Search results, cached promotion pages and old retailer listings can preserve the original “you can now get” wording. Separate promotions add further confusion. For example, NVIDIA announced another late-2023 offer combining three months of PC Game Pass with six months of GeForce NOW Ultimate; that promotion did not require an RTX 40 Series GPU. RTX 40 Series laptops and prebuilt gaming PCs could also have had separate manufacturer or Microsoft offers.
A newer listing that mentions Game Pass must be checked independently against its exact product, SKU, country, purchase dates and redemption deadline. Do not buy an old RTX 40 Series card or a used code expecting this expired bundle.
Should you buy an RTX 40 Series card for this deal?
No. The promotion lasted only three months, required a payment method, could renew into a paid subscription and expired in 2024. Evaluate an RTX 40 Series card on its current price, performance, memory, power use and features—not on this historical subscription benefit.
Anyone shopping now should check NVIDIA’s current GeForce graphics-card pages and current retailer terms for a live promotion. For the services themselves, use Microsoft’s PC Game Pass page and NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW membership page.
