Clues for Connections #914

- Yellow: Outside the home. Parade’s nudge: “Look out back.”
- Green: Similar letters. Parade’s nudge: “Mix the letters.”
- Blue: Alphabetical soundalikes. Parade’s nudge: “Sounds like something in the alphabet.”
- Purple: A star with a word describing sandy dirt. Parade’s nudge: “Get the Lemon Pledge.”
Connections gives players 16 words to sort into four groups of four. Yellow is the easiest category and Purple the trickiest, with Green and Blue between them. Words can plausibly fit more than one theme, making an apparent overlap a possible decoy. The New York Times Help Center explains the rules.
