Answers for Thursday, April 3, 2025

Spoilers begin here.

Category Answers Why they fit
PRINTED NOTIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT, BULLETIN, NOTICE, POSTER Each can be a printed communication intended to inform.
SEEN AT A GROCERY CHECKOUT COUNTER CONVEYOR BELT, REGISTER, SCALE, SCANNER These are fixtures or equipment used at a checkout.
THINGS WITH TABS BROWSER, FOLDER, KEYBOARD, SODA CAN They point to a browser tab, a labeled folder tab, the Tab key on a keyboard, and a pull tab on a soda can.
PALM ___ BEACH, READER, SUNDAY, TREE Each word completes a phrase when placed after “PALM.”

Why the “things with tabs” group is tricky

“Tab” does not mean the same physical feature in every answer. It refers to a browser tab, a folder’s labeled tab, the keyboard’s Tab key, and a soda can’s pull tab. The category connects different meanings of the word rather than four matching objects.

Why some guides show April 2

The puzzle is identified here as Thursday, April 3, 2025, game #662. Some guides carry an April 2 publication date because a new puzzle can become available according to a reader’s local time zone; a guide’s publication date is not necessarily the puzzle’s displayed date.
