Short answer: Once Human’s official server guide does not offer a general way to move an existing character freely between servers; it says to create a new character on the other server. Later announcements describe limited, separate options, including scenario sign-up, progress merging after a scenario ends, and event-specific closures. Whether you can delete a character under the current rules is not confirmed by the official sources cited here.
Can you transfer your Once Human character to another server?
Not as a general, on-demand migration, according to Once Human’s PVP & Server Guide, dated February 17, 2023. It says character data stays on the server where it was created and advises making a new character to join another server. That guide is dated, so it should not be read as ruling out every later server-specific option—but the later options are not a universal transfer button.
The important distinction is what each pathway actually moves. A scenario sign-up can start a fresh run; a merge after scenario completion can preserve progress; item inheritance moves selected items rather than the character; and a limited closure event may move characters under rules announced for that event.
Which server or scenario option fits your situation?
| Path | When it applies | What happens to progress |
|---|---|---|
| Join an ordinary different server | When you want to play on another server outside a specific announced exception | The 2023 guide says to create a new character there; it does not describe a general transfer of the existing character. |
| Sign up for a permanent server during a scenario | When the relevant scenario sign-up is available | The July 17, 2025 notice says direct sign-up resets character level and scenario resources, including gear and consumables. |
| Wait for the current scenario to end, then merge | After the current scenario reaches completion and settlement | The July 17, 2025 notice describes progress merging into a permanent server after completion. |
| Use a limited closure process | Only when a specific server or scenario closure announcement offers it | The December 8, 2025 notice gave special registration and closure rules for two named PvP permanent scenarios; remaining characters and resources were to move to Eternaland after closure. |
| Use Account Depot or inheritance | Where the relevant sharing or scenario-inheritance feature is available | Eligible selected items may move; this is not the same as migrating the character or all progress. |
Signing up now versus waiting for scenario completion
The distinction matters if you are considering a permanent server. In its July 17, 2025 Feature Launch Notice: Access to Permanent Server, the Once Human Development Team described two routes:
#1 Best Overall
- Fearless ROG Design – The G700’s dual-glass chassis showcases iconic ROG design with the ROG Slash and Aura Sync RGB lighting. Its 58L capacity supports triple-slot GPUs.
- Unstoppable Power – Equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB SSD PCIe 4.0 storage for seamless gaming and multitasking.
- Optimized Thermals – Stay cool with a quad-fan system, while dust filters and efficient airflow ensure long-term reliability.
- Advanced Connectivity – Game without lag with 2.5Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and versatile ports. Dolby Atmos audio and AI noise cancellation enhance sound and communication.
- Ready for Upgrades – Designed with tool-less access, easily swap out components, ensuring future-proof performance for years to come.
- Direct sign-up: character level and scenario resources reset, including gear and consumables.
- Wait for scenario completion: progress can merge into a permanent server after the scenario ends.
That notice says cosmetics, titles, social relationships, and achievements carry over between seasons. Check the current in-game notice for the scenario you intend to join: sign-up availability and consequences depend on that scenario’s rules.
What the December 2025 server closure example does—and does not—mean
In a December 8, 2025 announcement, the development team set a specific closure process for Evolution’s Call and Prismverse’s Clash. Registrations were due to stop December 4 (PT), and closure was set for January 7 (PT), 2026; the notice said remaining characters and resources would then move to Eternaland.

Those dates and that movement applied to the two named scenarios under that announcement. They are not evidence that characters on any server can be transferred to another server whenever a player chooses.
Does Account Depot move your character?
No. Account-level sharing and item inheritance can help move eligible assets, but they do not mean the character itself has changed servers. The official Cross-Character Sharing – Asset Consolidation Rules announcement, dated March 21, 2025, describes using Resource Points to transfer eligible items through Account Depot. It also says items not settled during Scenario Settlement cannot be moved into the depot.

On console, the August 27, 2026 Once Human Console Launch FAQ describes using Resource Inheritance Points to select items to take from Eternaland into a scenario, with different items carrying different costs. That is item selection, not a full character migration. The FAQ’s menu instructions are console launch guidance and may not match every platform’s labels or layout.
Can you delete your Once Human character?
The official sources cited here do not establish a current, universal character-deletion rule. A player post dated July 22, 2026 reports that a deletion problem was resolved after entering and playing a scenario, but that is an individual report, not an official instruction or a guaranteed fix. See the player report as anecdotal troubleshooting only.

If deletion is unavailable or an error appears, check the current in-game interface and official notices for your platform before taking action. Do not assume that deleting is required to join another server: the older official guide says to create a new character there, while the later pathways have their own eligibility and progress rules.

The console FAQ dated August 27, 2026 warns that linking two accounts that both contain characters can result in the characters on one account being discarded. It also describes protections for accounts with characters older than 30 days. Read the full in-game warning and FAQ carefully before confirming a link; account linking is not a server-transfer method.
