Feybreak Island, Pals, and resources
The update introduces Feybreak Island, described in the patch notes as a new island with glowing sand, new Pals, and the Feybreak Warriors faction. It also adds Chromite, found underground with metal-detection help, and Hexolite Quartz, which is exclusive to Feybreak.

New systems and encounters
Players can send Pals on expeditions for supplies and conduct research that unlocks permanent passive effects and rewards that improve base productivity. New threats and activities include Predator Pals, bounty NPCs, and oil-rig strongholds guarded by an Attack Chopper. The Xenolord raid adds a major boss encounter. Sphere Modules alter Pal Sphere trajectories and can increase capture rates.
Progression, equipment, and modes
The player level cap rises to 60. Other additions include new weapons, buildings, and recipes, plus Meowmere from the Terraria collaboration. The update also adds Hardcore Mode, where player and Pal deaths are permanent, and Random Pal Mode. Discovering areas grants experience.

Additional changes
