The roadmap did not reveal a named final boss: it described an ending scenario, not a specific opponent.
What Pocketpair announced in the 2025 roadmap
For Palworld’s first anniversary on January 19, 2025, Pocketpair published a forward-looking list of work it planned while preparing the game for official release. It did not assign the features to quarters or give individual delivery dates. The announcement’s wording is important: these were roadmap plans, not a dated delivery schedule. Pocketpair’s anniversary roadmap listed:
- Co-op crossplay so players on various platforms could play together.
- World transfers for Pals, allowing Pals to move between worlds.
- World Tree / Ending Scenario, described as an ending-related feature rather than a named boss reveal.
- More ways to strengthen and improve Pals.
- New Pals and technologies.
- Collaborations, with Terraria named as an example.
- World and base improvements, including object placement and base Pals.
- Optimization and UX improvements.
Did Palworld’s roadmap reveal its final boss?
No. Pocketpair wrote “World Tree / Ending Scenario”; it did not identify a final boss by name or describe a boss’s mechanics. Calling this a final-boss reveal goes beyond what the announcement said. The roadmap established that an ending scenario was planned, but left its details unspecified.
Does Palworld have crossplay?
Yes. Pocketpair announced on March 19, 2025 that the crossplay update was live, enabling players to play with friends across various platforms. Its announcement does not enumerate every platform pairing or explain server-specific restrictions, so those details should not be assumed from the announcement alone. How the roadmap changed after January 2025
Later announcements updated the expected schedule. On September 16, 2025, Pocketpair said Version 1.0 was planned for 2026. On June 6, 2026, it announced July 10, 2026 as the release date, saying the trailer showed new Pals, regions, a new threat, and the long-awaited World Tree. That date has passed; the announcement establishes what Pocketpair scheduled, not the game’s present release-day status. September 2025 Version 1.0 announcement; June 2026 release-date announcement.
Pocketpair’s update archive records the Tides of Terraria update on June 23, 2025 and Home Sweet Home on December 17, 2025, as well as the March crossplay update. Those entries confirm update milestones, but do not establish that every item from the anniversary roadmap was delivered.
