When Mutatsu asks for a drink, give the bartender the customers’ orders in this sequence: Margarita, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, and Oolong Tea. The rank-by-rank answers below focus on recommended dialogue choices.
How to unlock Mutatsu’s Tower Social Link
- Advance Yuko’s Strength Social Link. Rank 4 is the commonly listed prerequisite. After the relevant Strength event, speak with Yuko so she mentions the monk at Club Escapade. Reload changed the Rank 4 Strength scenario, so the precise timing may vary; if the event does not trigger, continue Strength and check back with Yuko.
- Reach Courage Rank 4 (Tough). Some guides distinguish the Courage needed to enter Club Escapade from the higher requirement to speak with Mutatsu. Rank 2 may let you enter, but Rank 4 is the threshold listed for talking to him.
- Visit Club Escapade in Paulownia Mall at night. Mutatsu is upstairs. Speak with him to begin the drink request.
- Take the order downstairs to the bartender. Ask the customers for their drinks and report them in this exact order: Margarita → Bloody Mary → Screwdriver → Oolong Tea. The bartender will send Mutatsu his drink and the Tower link will begin.
Mutatsu appears Thursday through Sunday nights. No single start date is reliable across the Reload-specific timing caveat, so advance Strength, follow up with Yuko after her event, meet the Courage requirement, and check the club at night.
Best answers for every Mutatsu rank
Bring a Persona of the Tower Arcana when spending time with Mutatsu to receive the matching-Arcana affinity bonus. The table gives recommended answers, not a claim that every omitted response loses points. Answer text is in-game dialogue from Persona 3 Reload.
| Rank event | Recommended answer(s) |
|---|---|
| 1 → 2 | “None of your business.”; “How should I address you?” |
| 2 → 3 | “I don’t have any friends.” |
| 3 → 4 | “Yeah, that might look cool.” |
| 4 → 5 | “I have enough.”; “No.” |
| 5 → 6 | “You should go home.”; “Do you have any coworkers?” |
| 6 → 7 | “You probably shouldn’t…” |
| 7 → 8 | “Dad?”; “None of your business.”; “Are you running away?” |
| 8 → 9 | “Poor men know no leisure.”; “Time to retire?”; “What’s this about?” |
| 9 → 10 | “That’s awesome!” is a supported +3 answer. Prima Games says any response works at this rank; RPG Site identifies this choice as worth +3. |
For example, when Mutatsu asks, “What’cha doin here today, kid?”, “None of your business” is a recommended reply for the relevant rank event.
