RAP means Recent Auction Price: it is a value displayed on some pets and contributes to your total RAP on the leaderboard. To increase that total, acquire pets with displayed RAP through available game rewards, hatching or other pet routes, and trading. Treat the number as a reference—not a guaranteed sale price.
What RAP means in Pet Simulator X
BIG Games described RAP as the average of Recent Auction Prices shown on pet descriptions in its March 4, 2023 Comet Update. A pet’s displayed RAP contributes to your player total on the RAP leaderboard; RAP itself is not currency you can claim or spend.

That update said RAP appeared on Huge or Titanic pet descriptions. However, a March 11, 2023 PSX Database explainer reported that Titanic RAP had been removed during that update period. Those dated sources conflict, so check the pet’s current in-game description rather than assuming which pet types display RAP today.
How to increase your total RAP
- Check pets you own. Read each pet’s in-game description for a RAP value. The total RAP leaderboard reflects the combined value associated with your inventory.
- Acquire pets with displayed RAP. Use whatever pet-acquisition routes are available in your current game, such as rewards, hatching or other in-game routes, and trading. The sources document historical routes, not a guaranteed current egg, event or reward.
- Compare before you trade. Consider a pet’s displayed RAP alongside recent auction activity and actual offers. A high number alone does not establish what another player will pay.
- Hold, auction or trade the pet. These choices can change your inventory and thus your total RAP. They do not guarantee that the value shown—or your leaderboard position—will rise.
Historical ways to acquire and auction pets
Huge pets and the Huge Machine
In its February 2023 Huge Machine Update, BIG Games documented converting premium exclusives into a Huge Machine egg and mentioned Huge pets in free gifts. The post also gave a 10 million diamond unlock cost and warned that points and prices could change. These are historical details, not confirmation that the machine, cost or gift route is available now.

BIG Games’ February 2023 Trading Update described a Trading Plaza Auction Board where players could list pets with a starting price and a 60-second countdown. At that time, only Huge and Titanic pets could be listed. The March 2023 Comet Update documented a 5% auction sales tax. These figures describe mechanics in those dated updates; verify the current game before relying on them.
Why RAP is not a guaranteed selling price
RAP is a useful point of comparison, but it is not the same as a firm offer. The PSX Database explainer describes several reasons it may not match a pet’s practical trading value:

- EXCLUSIVE PLUSH: This bundle contains an extra-rare collectible plush exclusive to this bundle! And if you're lucky, this plush could come in its rare golden variant!
- EXCLUSIVE EGGS: This bundle also contains 3 Pixel Mystery Eggs. Each egg contains a Series 2 Minifigure exclusive to this bundle!
- DOUBLE THE DLC: Includes 2 DLC codes that can be redeemed for in-game rewards: 1 Legendary DLC and 1 Exclusive DLC.
- OFFICIALLY LICENSED: Genuine Pet Simulator merchandise by PhatMojo.
- Manipulated auction results: repeated high- or low-price auction purchases can influence the displayed reference, according to the explainer.
- Too few sales: a rare pet may have little auction activity, leaving too little evidence for a dependable value.
- Different kinds of offers: the explainer says its account of RAP does not include booth prices or direct player-to-player trades, so those offers may differ from the displayed figure.
These are caveats from a secondary explainer, not an official statement of BIG Games’ calculation method. BIG Games documented RAP as an average of recent auction prices in March 2023, but the dated sources do not establish the exact current algorithm.

- Check the RAP shown on the pet itself.
- Consider how recent and frequent its auction activity appears to be; a sparse record is less informative.
- Compare the number with actual booth or direct-trade offers, which may not be reflected in RAP.
- Decide based on the trade you are willing to make, not on an assumption that the displayed RAP guarantees a later sale at that price.
