Do not infer a character’s move from its name.
Which Pets Survivors characters are named?
Steam’s achievement listing includes run-win achievements for Iris, Trumpet, Book, Fish, Peep, Toaster, Pepe, Rosie, Finger, Bubble, Viper, Basil, Dirk, Gyro, and Bruno. Achievement completion percentages measure how many players have earned a milestone, not a character’s win rate or performance. Unlock access and individual player progression can affect those percentages, so they cannot be used to rank Basil against Viper—or any other pair.
What should you compare when choosing a character?
Pets Survivors is a single-player survival roguelike by Vergiu. Steam describes runs where players survive waves, level up, choose upgrades, and purchase permanent upgrades. Its description says, “With every level, choose between upgrading your weapon, special ability, or Pet, creating unique combinations in every playthrough.” That makes a character’s move one part of a build rather than a standalone verdict on a run.

A useful community or personal tier list needs more than a favourite character or a quick win. Record observations under comparable conditions and label the result as gameplay-based rather than official balance data.
- Record the context: Note the platform, game version or patch, stage, difficulty, run settings, and permanent upgrades in effect.
- Verify the character’s starting traits and move: Write down the starting weapon or traits and the special move only after confirming them in the game.
- Keep the build conditions comparable: Use similar weapon and upgrade choices across characters where possible, and record meaningful differences when a run forces a different choice.
- Compare more than one outcome: Track clear time or completion, survival, and how consistently the move contributes across repeated runs. Treat a small number of runs as anecdotal, not definitive.
- Label the result precisely: State that the tiers reflect observed play on the recorded version and conditions; do not present them as official stats or a universal ranking.
