Pick the twin blades when your priority is keeping an opponent busy and attacking around more than one defensive line. The trade-off is execution complexity: you must learn how the two weapons combine and when a single blade is the better choice.

Use one when your main weapon lacks a safe answer to a particular situation: distance, a cluster of enemies, interruption, or an area that is dangerous to enter. Their limited uses make them strategic tools, not endlessly repeatable replacements for the main weapon.
Scarlet Wraithblade: for slowing and shaping the battlefield

Do I need to switch weapons during a fight?

In the August State of Play announcement, S-Game via PlayStation.Blog described “more than 30 main weapons and 25 secondary weapons”; another official PlayStation page says “30+ primary weapons and 20+ unique Phantom Edges.” These statements should not be silently merged into one exact total.

How to choose your style in five minutes
- Pick the behavior you want first. Choose mobility, pressure, unusual angles, heavy force, or battlefield control—not a supposed universal tier.
- Match the main weapon to that behavior. Sanguine is the neutral baseline; Drunken Sword emphasizes evasion; twin blades emphasize pressure; Soft Snake emphasizes attack angles; iron fists emphasize commitment; Scarlet Wraithblade emphasizes slowing.
