Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has eight piano minigame songs. The first six are the Piano Outreach Association songs, and earning at least an A rank on each one, then reporting the results to Dorian, fulfills the Piano Virtuoso trophy requirement. The final two songs are bonus unlocks for completionists and are not needed for that trophy.
Five association sheets are picked up at pianos in Junon, Costa del Sol, North Corel, Gongaga and Cosmo Canyon. Aerith’s Theme is different: it is awarded for the Nibelheim side quest My White-Haired Angel. One early access gate matters for routing—Crow’s Nest is unavailable until you advance When Words Won’t Do.

How many piano songs are in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?

Where do I find every piano sheet in Rebirth?
On Our Way — Crow’s Nest, Junon Region
Go to Crow’s Nest in the Junon Region and enter the settlement’s tavern or base-camp building. The sheet is on the piano inside. Crow’s Nest is not immediately available: its access is gated by the side quest When Words Won’t Do. If the settlement is missing from your accessible map or you cannot enter the building, progress that quest before searching for the sheet.
Tifa’s Theme — Royal Coast hotel, Costa del Sol
The sheet is in the Royal Coast hotel in Costa del Sol. It is obtained during the Chapter 6 story sequence involving Tifa and Aerith. Some early demonstrations place this sheet in Nibelheim, but that is not the full-game location; use the Costa del Sol hotel for Rebirth’s main release.

Enter the Rock Bottom bar in North Corel and inspect the piano inside. The sheet is a normal location pickup rather than a quest reward, so once the bar is accessible you can claim it directly from the instrument.
Cinco de Chocobo — Gongaga Village
Look for the piano in one of the buildings in Gongaga Village. The map’s piano marker points you to the correct building, which is useful because the village has several structures and the sheet is not presented as an outdoor collectible.
Two Legs? Nothin’ To It — Syldra Inn, Cosmo Canyon Village
Travel to Cosmo Canyon Village and enter the Syldra Inn. The sheet is placed on the inn’s piano. This is another direct piano pickup: no separate quest completion is listed as a prerequisite for obtaining it.
Aerith’s Theme — Nibelheim side quest reward
Aerith’s Theme is awarded through the Nibelheim side quest My White-Haired Angel. It is therefore quest-gated rather than a standard sheet lying on a piano that you can collect early. If the other five association sheets are complete but this one is absent, check the Nibelheim side-quest list and finish My White-Haired Angel.

Let the Battles Begin! — Dorian’s bonus award
Dorian awards this sheet after you earn A rank or better on all six association songs and report those qualifying performances to him. It is a reward for completing the association challenge, not one of the six sheets needed to start that route, and it is not required for Piano Virtuoso.
One-Winged Angel — Johnny’s Treasure Trove reward
This bonus sheet is associated with Johnny’s Treasure Trove. The walkthrough condition is to complete all 88 items in the Treasure Trove and then open the reward chest. Like Let the Battles Begin!, it is optional for the piano trophy.
What is required for the Piano Virtuoso trophy?
You need an A-rank-or-better performance on each of the six Piano Outreach Association songs and must report the qualifying results to Dorian. The game’s remuneration step matters: completing a performance without turning it in does not satisfy the documented reward route.
- Collect the six association sheets. This means the five settlement pickups plus Aerith’s Theme from My White-Haired Angel.
- Play each song at its piano. The minigame grades individual note timing while you follow the moving notes.
- Reach A rank or higher. The available guidance does not establish a single universal percentage that guarantees A rank under every play condition, so treat percentage tips as approximate rather than a fixed rule.
- Report the qualifying performances to Dorian. This is when the association remuneration is issued and the trophy route is credited.
You do not need Star/S-rank perfection for Piano Virtuoso. Attempting to improve a song beyond A rank is optional unless you personally want a higher performance grade.

How does the piano minigame work?
The minigame uses the left and right analog sticks to follow notes as they reach the play area. Your timing on each note affects the grade awarded for the performance. In practice, that means the trophy target is not simply sheet collection: you must execute the song accurately enough to receive A rank.
Use the grade as your checkpoint
After a performance, check the displayed grade before moving on. If it is below A, replay the song rather than assuming the result will count. What is the difference between the trophy route and full piano completion?
The shortest route to Piano Virtuoso stops after the six association songs and Dorian’s report-in. Full piano completion continues with two bonus unlocks that come from different activities.

This distinction prevents a common detour: Johnny’s Treasure Trove is not part of the six-song trophy check, and the bonus Dorian song is granted after the association route rather than being a prerequisite for it.
What should I check if a sheet or reward is missing?
- On Our Way is not available: verify that When Words Won’t Do has progressed far enough to open Crow’s Nest, then search the tavern/base-camp building’s piano.
- Tifa’s Theme is not in Nibelheim: use the Royal Coast hotel in Costa del Sol for the full game. The Nibelheim placement belongs to early demonstration information, not the release location described for Rebirth.
- Aerith’s Theme is absent: it is tied to My White-Haired Angel in Nibelheim, so inspect the side quest rather than searching the regular settlement pianos.
- Dorian has not issued remuneration: confirm that every one of the six association songs shows A rank or better and that you reported the results to him. A performance that has not been reported is not the documented completion step.
- You are chasing the final bonus: One-Winged Angel requires the 88-item Johnny’s Treasure Trove completion and opening its reward chest; it will not appear merely because the six association songs are finished.
