How long was the show?
Sony described the presentation as lasting more than 40 minutes. It was promoted as an English-language broadcast featuring games from creators around the world.

What did Sony confirm before the broadcast?
The pre-show announcement confirmed a PS5-focused State of Play, but it did not publish a complete lineup. Sony promised news and updates on games coming to PS5, along with games from creators worldwide.
It did not confirm a specific number of games, a hardware reveal, a new console or a PlayStation Studios-heavy presentation. This was a State of Play, not a full PlayStation Showcase, and unconfirmed rumors were not part of Sony’s official preview.

- 007 First Light: IO Interactive’s James Bond origin story, planned for PS5 in 2026.
- MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls: A tag-team fighting game from PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works and Marvel Games.
- Nioh 3: A new PS5 entry featuring Samurai and Ninja combat styles. A limited-time demo was scheduled for the PlayStation Store.
- Pragmata: A new gameplay trailer was shown for Capcom’s sci-fi game, planned for PS5 in 2026.
- Romeo is a Dead Man: A new action game from Grasshopper Manufacture, coming to PS5 in 2026.
- Sea of Remnants: An ocean-themed action RPG announced for PS5.
- Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement: A new 2.5D action-RPG entry coming to PS5 in 2026.

- Astro Bot: Five Vicious Void Galaxy levels and new Special Bots were announced for summer 2025. Sony also showed an updated limited-edition Astro Bot DualSense controller planned for later in the year.
- Lumines Arise: The new puzzle game was announced for PS5 later in 2025, with optional PS VR2 support.
- Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection: A PS4 and PS5 collection of classic games and documentary material, planned for later in 2025.
- Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow: A PS VR2 game planned for later in 2025.
- Tides of Tomorrow: An adventure game planned for PS5 on February 24, 2026, featuring asynchronous multiplayer shaped by another player’s choices.
PlayStation Plus announcements
Sony announced the PS2 version of Deus Ex for the Game Catalog on June 17, 2025. The Premium Classics catalog was scheduled to receive Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 on July 15, with the original PlayStation versions of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis planned for Premium later in summer 2025.

Hardware and follow-up events
Project Defiant was revealed as PlayStation’s first wireless fight stick. Sony said it would support wireless PlayStation Link connectivity and wired play on PS5 or PC, with a planned 2026 release.

The June presentation also announced a dedicated July State of Play episode focused on Ghost of Yōtei. That was a promise of a later gameplay-focused presentation, not a full Ghost of Yōtei showcase during the June broadcast.

Could creators co-stream it?
Sony welcomed co-streamers and creators but warned that the broadcast could contain licensed music it did not control. That music could lead to muted sections, removed clips or restrictions on an archived video. Creators saving a VOD or making recap footage were advised to omit copyrighted music.

What the event did not establish
- It did not provide a complete pre-show game lineup.
- It did not establish that every game was a PS5 exclusive.
- It did not promise a major first-party or hardware showcase.
- It did not confirm current 2026 prices, editions, release status or PlayStation Plus availability.
- It did not show a complete Ghost of Yōtei gameplay presentation; it announced a separate July episode.
Some announcements also included PS4 versions, including Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. The event’s PS5 focus therefore should not be read as a claim that every title shown was exclusive to Sony’s current console.
