The Japanese MEGA Dream ex secret-rare reveal included several cards later reported for the English Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion. The full reported list runs from card #194 to #250, with gaps, and includes Pokémon, Trainers and Mega Evolution ex cards. The reveal was published on November 25, 2025—before the Japanese set’s November 28 launch and the English expansion’s January 30, 2026 release—so it is a retrospective, not breaking news.
What the Mega Dream ex secret-rare list includes
PokéBeach published the numbered list below on November 25, 2025. It is specialist reporting, not an official Pokémon checklist. The numbering has gaps, and the list spans regular Pokémon and Trainer cards as well as multiple rarities of Pokémon ex cards. Names below follow PokéBeach’s report; Japanese card names and English localizations do not always match one-to-one.

What Mega Attack Rare means
Mega Attack Rare, abbreviated MA, is a rarity introduced in the Japanese MEGA Dream ex set. Pokémon Japan’s feature page highlights Mega Charizard X ex, Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex as examples. PokéBeach characterizes the cards’ art as comic-book style. The rarity label and the visual description come from these respective sources; the MA label should not be treated as a translation of every rarity or card treatment in the English release.
Pokémon Japan also promotes AR and SAR cards and special mirror finishes with Energy and Poké Ball patterns on the official MEGA Dream ex feature page.
How the Japanese product and reverse holos work
Japan’s MEGA Dream ex is a 2025 High Class Pack in the Pokémon Card Game MEGA series. Pokémon Japan listed its release date as November 28, 2025, with ten random cards per pack and a suggested retail price of ¥550, including tax. Those are Japanese launch-era product specifications, not current resale prices or a guarantee of particular cards in a pack.
PokéBeach reported that regular non-ex Pokémon have two reverse-holo variants: an Energy-pattern reverse holo and a Poké Ball-pattern reverse holo, or an R-mark version for Team Rocket Pokémon. It described the two variants as equally rare and counted 236 reverse holos across 118 regular Pokémon.
Rank #2
- Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Pitch Black Booster Bundle contains six booster packs from Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Pitch Black.
- This is a great option for getting into the new Choas Rising expansion.
- A great gift for the Pokémon collector or player in your life.
The same report described ten-pack booster-box collation as three Illustration Rares, one Mega Attack Rare, one full-art-or-better card and seven reverse holos. It also reported a rare “God Pack” configuration containing one Illustration Rare, five Mega Attack Rares and four Special Illustration Rares. These are reported collation patterns, not guaranteed contents or odds for every box.

MEGA Dream ex is the Japanese product; Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes is the related English expansion. The Pokémon Company International announced that Ascended Heroes became available on January 30, 2026. PokéBeach reported that Japanese secret rares would appear in the English expansion, but that does not make the regional products interchangeable: the names, numbering and presentation in an English-language release should be checked against the applicable English card listing.
See The Pokémon Company International’s Ascended Heroes release announcement and PokéBeach’s report on the Japanese reveal.
Official follow-up notices
Pokémon Japan’s 2025 news archive records publication of the MEGA Dream ex card list on November 21, 2025, and a December 5, 2025 notice about surface-finish errors on some cards. The archive entry does not identify affected card numbers or describe the defect, so it does not establish which individual cards are affected. The notice is listed in the official 2025 news archive.
