There is no open permanent Pokémon Center London whose shelves you can check. The Pokémon Company International announced a permanent London store on 21 October 2026, but says it is scheduled to open by 2029. The London Pokémon shop operating now is a separate, temporary Pokémon x ESA Shop at the Science Museum, running from 2 October 2026 to 3 January 2027. Its official page gives dated availability warnings and ticket instructions, not a live product-by-product inventory feed.
Before travelling, identify the venue, read the Science Museum’s latest notice, obtain both required tickets and treat any item as subject to availability. An online “in stock” label at Pokémon Center UK, the ESA shop or another retailer does not prove that the same product is waiting at the Science Museum.

No permanent Pokémon Center is open in London as of 30 October 2026. The Pokémon Company International announced a permanent retail destination for London on 21 October 2026 and said it will open by 2029. That is a future plan, not a shop you can visit today or a source of current London shelf stock. The announcement is available from The Pokémon Company International.
When people search for “Pokémon Center London stock”, they may actually mean the Pokémon x ESA Shop at the Science Museum. This is a limited event shop, not the announced permanent Pokémon Center. It occupies the museum mezzanine at Exhibition Road, London SW7 2DD, and has its own dates, ticket process and stock notices.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Keep these three destinations separate:
- Future permanent Pokémon Center London: announced for opening by 2029; it has no current visitor inventory.
- Science Museum Pokémon x ESA Shop: the active London event shop, scheduled for 2 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
- Pokémon Center UK: an official online store, not a public London warehouse or a live feed for the Science Museum’s shelves. Pokémon Center’s support guidance explains that its retail presence is online rather than a permanent physical location in London: official support page.
If a search result says “Pokémon Center London” without naming the venue and date, do not use it as a travel plan.
How do I check stock at the Science Museum Pokémon shop?
Use the Science Museum’s Pokémon x ESA Shop page and read the dated notice immediately before travelling. It is the authoritative source for the event’s product range, restrictions and access rules, but it does not publish a live count for every item.
- Open the official event page. Start with the Science Museum’s Pokémon x ESA Shop visitor information, rather than a marketplace listing, social-media post or page about the future permanent store.
- Check the date on every stock statement. The museum’s notice labelled Tuesday, 20 October says that the Astronaut Pikachu figurine and two Astronaut Pikachu plush products had sold out at that shop. It also says the museum is trying to restock selected products where possible. That notice is historical and location-specific: it is not a live count for 30 October, a promise that restocking will happen, or a statement about Pokémon Center UK’s online inventory.
- Read the product and purchase-limit wording. The event advertises more than 150 selected Pokémon products, but that is the stated range, not the number of units available on a given day. Selected Scarlet & Violet-series Trading Card Game products are available; the museum says it does not offer other TCG products and applies purchase limits to selected items.
- Check the booking journey. A product page cannot reserve an item. Continue through the museum booking process to see whether a free Pokémon shop ticket is offered for your date.
The museum’s own warning is the key qualification: All products are subject to availability and entry to the shop does not guarantee that a particular product will be available to purchase.
A ticket gets you access to the sales area; it is not a stock reservation.
Do I need a ticket for the Pokémon shop?
Yes. You need free general admission to the Science Museum and a separate free timed ticket for the Pokémon x ESA Shop. Holding only a museum admission ticket does not automatically provide entry to the event shop.
On the museum booking journey, look for the shop ticket under “Enhance your visit”. If the Pokémon shop does not appear there, the museum says that day’s shop tickets are sold out. Do not assume that a missing option means the event has closed or that a search engine result has an alternative booking link.
The museum’s posted release calendar lists Friday, 30 October 2026 as the release date for shop visits from 9–15 November. That calendar tells you when dates are scheduled to be released; it does not confirm that a particular slot remains available when you read it. Re-open the booking page before leaving home and again if your travel date changes.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBook the two access elements as separate tasks:
- Reserve free general museum admission for the date you plan to visit.
- Reserve the free timed Pokémon x ESA Shop ticket during the same booking journey, if offered.
- Save both confirmations and check the entry instructions, time window and date.
- Arrive with enough time for museum entry and the shop’s timed admission. Neither ticket changes the museum’s availability warning.
What products were reported sold out?
The dated 20 October notice names three Astronaut Pikachu products as sold out at the Science Museum shop: the Astronaut Pikachu figurine and two Astronaut Pikachu plush items. The museum says it is attempting to restock selected products where possible.

Those details should be read narrowly. They do not establish the products’ status on 30 October or on your future visit, and they say nothing about other venues. Stock can change between the date of a notice, the day a restock arrives and the time you reach the shop. The museum has not published a probability of finding a particular product, a daily unit count or a guaranteed restock date.
The “over 150 selected products” figure describes the event’s planned selection. It should not be converted into “150 products currently in stock”. Individual lines may sell out while other products remain available, and purchase limits can apply even when an item is on the shelf.
Can I phone or email to confirm a specific item?
You can use the museum’s general-enquiries route to ask, but no guaranteed product-specific confirmation or hold is published. The event guidance does not offer a public live inventory system, a guaranteed telephone stock check or an item-reservation service.
If an item is important enough to determine your journey, send an enquiry through the contact route listed on the official event page before travelling. Treat any reply as time-sensitive: stock can sell between the response and your arrival, and staff may not be able to provide a precise count. Do not treat an unanswered message, an old social post or a third-party claim as confirmation.
The safest expectation is that a contact enquiry may clarify general policy, opening arrangements or a dated issue, but cannot turn a timed entry ticket into a guarantee that an Astronaut Pikachu or another named product will be waiting.
What are the Science Museum shop’s dates and hours?
The event is scheduled for 2 October 2026 through 3 January 2027. The museum publishes ordinary daily hours of 10:00–18:00 and lists a dated 09:00 opening from 24–30 October 2026. Hours, ticket conditions and event availability can change, so verify the page for the exact date of travel.
The event location is the Science Museum mezzanine, Exhibition Road, London SW7 2DD. Plan around the time printed on your shop ticket, not merely the museum’s general opening time. A 09:00 museum opening during a specified period does not mean every future date will use that hour or that shop tickets are available at opening.

Does Pokémon Center UK online stock show what is available in London?
No. Online stock is not evidence of Science Museum stock. Pokémon Center UK, the ESA online shop and the Science Museum’s own online shop are separate sales channels. A product marked “in stock” online may be unavailable at the event shop, while an event-exclusive product may never appear in an online catalogue.
The Science Museum specifically cautions that availability can differ at other participating locations, the ESA online shop and PokémonCenter.com. Use those sites to decide whether ordering online meets your goal, not to infer what will be on the mezzanine shelf. The reviewed Science Museum shop homepage does not establish that Pokémon x ESA event exclusives are sold through its general online shop.
If your priority is simply owning Pokémon merchandise, compare an online order with the cost and uncertainty of London travel. If your priority is the event experience or a collaboration-exclusive item, only the event venue can answer that question—and even the venue warns that entry does not guarantee a particular product.

Is the Natural History Museum Pokémon shop the same event?
No. The Natural History Museum collaboration was a different, earlier pop-up and was not a Pokémon Center store. It ran from 26 January to 19 April 2026. Its organiser’s announcement explicitly distinguishes it from a Pokémon Center.
The Natural History Museum’s online shop may still list remaining collaboration merchandise, but that is not proof of a current in-person pop-up or Science Museum stock. Its FAQ says the oversized Pikachu at the Museum gift-with-purchase card is sold out. Do not substitute a Natural History Museum listing for a ticket or stock check at the Science Museum.
When comparing a product page, check the venue name, event dates and whether the listing describes online fulfilment or an in-person shop. The two museums’ collaborations should be treated as separate inventories and separate travel destinations. The original collaboration announcement is available from The Pokémon Company International.

What should I do if the shop ticket is sold out?
Do not travel solely for the shop without a confirmed timed ticket. Recheck the booking page for cancellations or newly released dates, and verify that the event still falls within its published run. If no ticket appears under “Enhance your visit”, the museum’s guidance treats that day’s shop allocation as sold out.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
You then have three practical choices:
- Move the visit. Choose another date with both museum admission and shop tickets available.
- Buy online instead. Check Pokémon Center UK or the relevant ESA and museum online channels if a general Pokémon purchase is more important than visiting the event.
- Keep the trip for the museum, not the merchandise. Visit only if the museum itself is your reason for travelling; do not expect to enter the Pokémon shop without the required timed access.
Never buy a third-party “ticket” that claims to reserve merchandise. The official process provides free timed access, not a paid guarantee of a named item.
What are sensible alternatives if a specific product matters?
Separate the goal of buying Pokémon from the goal of obtaining a limited Science Museum collaboration item. For a general purchase, online searches for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG products, Pokémon plush toys or Pokémon activity books may provide alternatives without a London trip. Check the seller’s delivery area, edition and return terms, and do not assume a generic listing is the Astronaut Pikachu exclusive.
For a limited collaboration item, compare the item’s exact name and venue. A listing for remaining Natural History Museum Pokémon merchandise is not the same as a Science Museum Pokémon x ESA product. Likewise, an online listing cannot prove that an event item is genuine, currently available at the museum or eligible for any event purchase limit.
If you decide to travel, calculate the downside before booking transport: the ticket may be available while the desired product is not. The museum’s wording deliberately makes that distinction; access and merchandise availability are separate decisions.
What is the most reliable pre-trip checklist?
Use this checklist on the day you finalise your journey and again shortly before departure:
- Name the venue: Science Museum Pokémon x ESA Shop, not the future permanent Pokémon Center and not the former Natural History Museum pop-up.
- Confirm the event date: the published run is 2 October 2026–3 January 2027.
- Read the newest dated stock notice: note which products are mentioned and when the notice was posted.
- Interpret sell-outs correctly: the 20 October Astronaut Pikachu notice is not a live 30 October count or a future guarantee.
- Book both admissions: free Science Museum admission plus a separate free timed shop ticket.
- Check “Enhance your visit”: if the shop is absent, that date’s shop tickets are reported as sold out.
- Verify hours: ordinary hours are 10:00–18:00; 09:00 opening was specifically posted for 24–30 October 2026.
- Ask only through the official contact route: understand that no live count, hold or guaranteed item confirmation is offered.
- Keep an online fallback: compare official online channels if owning Pokémon merchandise matters more than attending the event.
- Accept the availability condition: a ticket provides entry, not a reserved product.
What should you expect from the announced permanent store?
Expect a future London retail destination, not a current stock-check opportunity. The 21 October 2026 announcement gives an opening target of “by 2029”; it does not publish a present address, opening-day inventory or booking system for visitors. Until an official launch notice provides those details, searches for permanent-store stock will return future plans, event pages or unrelated listings.

When the permanent store eventually receives an opening announcement, verify its date and official retail page separately from the Science Museum event. Do not carry over the temporary shop’s ticket rules, product range or stock notices to a future Pokémon Center.
Bottom line: what can you know before travelling?
You can verify the correct venue, event dates, dated stock warnings, opening hours and whether a free timed shop ticket is available. You cannot verify a guaranteed live count for a named Science Museum product, reserve it with a ticket or infer museum stock from an online “in stock” label. As of 30 October 2026, the permanent Pokémon Center London is still a future project; the Science Museum’s temporary Pokémon x ESA Shop is the only current London event shop covered by this guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I reserve an Astronaut Pikachu before visiting the Science Museum?
No reservation or item-hold service is published for the Pokémon x ESA Shop. The museum says entry does not guarantee a particular product, so even a confirmed timed ticket cannot set an Astronaut Pikachu aside.
If Pokémon Center UK has an item online, will the London event shop have it too?
Not necessarily. Pokémon Center UK, the ESA online shop and the Science Museum event use separate inventories, and the museum warns that availability can vary between locations and online channels.
Can I visit the Pokémon shop without visiting the Science Museum?
The event uses the museum’s admissions and timed-ticket process, requiring free general museum admission plus a separate free shop ticket. Check the current booking instructions rather than relying on a third-party claim about standalone entry.
What happened to the Pokémon shop at the Natural History Museum?
That collaboration ran from 26 January to 19 April 2026 and was explicitly not a Pokémon Center store. Any remaining merchandise listed online belongs to that separate collaboration and does not show what is available at the Science Museum.
