Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global Day 2 took place Sunday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Unlike Saturday, Sunday had no rotating habitat hours: the Day 1 wild Pokémon pool could appear throughout the event window. Ticket holders also had Necrozma-focused Special Research, special Incense encounters, and additional event perks.

Were there habitat hours on Sunday?

No. Sunday did not have rotating habitats. The Day 1 wild-spawn pool could appear at any time during the Sunday event hours, rather than changing by habitat each hour as it had on Saturday. The event ran from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time on July 14, 2024. Pokémon GO Hub’s Day 2 guide lists the following Pokémon in the wild pool; inclusion does not mean a species was guaranteed to appear or had a particular spawn rate.

  • Pidgey, Pikachu, Hoothoot, Hoppip, Girafarig, Wingull, Snivy, Cottonee, Ducklett, Ferroseed, Axew, and Galarian Stunfisk
  • Heatmor, Inkay, Charmander, Dratini, Sunkern, Dunsparce, Hisuian Sneasel, Solrock, Roselia, Helioptile, Tyrunt, and Dedenne
  • Yungoos, Fomantis, Jangmo-o, Eevee, Spinarak, Volbeat, Illumise, Gible, Venipede, Emolga, Litwick, and Golett
  • Durant, Espurr, Phantump, Grubbin, Alolan Rattata, Gligar, Sneasel, Teddiursa, Mudkip, Carvanha, Lunatone, and Deino
  • Binacle, Amaura, Carbink, Crabrawler, and Morelull

What could ticket holders attract with Incense?

Ticket holders could encounter these Pokémon through event Incense, according to the July 13, 2024 Pokémon GO Hub Day 2 guide:

  • Maractus, Corsola, Rockruff, and Vullaby
  • Espeon wearing a day scarf and Umbreon wearing a night scarf
  • Unown D, A, Y, N, I, G, H, and T

The official Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global Prep Guide confirms that special Incense encounters were a ticket feature. These were additional to the general wild pool.

What was the Sunday Necrozma research?

Ticket holders received additional Special Research focused on Necrozma. The official prep guide confirms the Sunday Necrozma focus. The Day 2 guide reports that the Special Research encounter was either Solgaleo or Lunala with a Special Background. The available descriptions do not establish a complete task-by-task walkthrough or that every player received the same branch, so the precise steps and outcome depended on the research variant.

Field Research tasks and rewards

The specialist guide lists Sunday Field Research tasks such as catching 10 Pokémon, catching 10 different species, hatching one or three Eggs, using three supereffective Charged Attacks, completing three Field Research tasks, and battling in one or three raids. Reported rewards included Sun Crown Pikachu, scarf-wearing Espeon or Umbreon, Necrozma or Cosmog Candy, XP, Stardust, Poké Balls, Pinap Berries, and healing items. These task-and-reward details come from the guide’s July 13, 2024 update and are not a current in-game task list.

Which raids were available on Day 2?

Sunday’s raid lineup included the two Necrozma fused forms, scarf-wearing Pokémon, and event Pikachu, according to the Day 2 guide.

Raid tier Reported Pokémon
Five-star Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma
Three-star Umbreon wearing a night scarf and Espeon wearing a day scarf
One-star Sun Crown Pikachu, Moon Crown Pikachu, and Jangmo-o

Trainers could have a chance to receive a Special Background when catching Necrozma after a five-star raid during Sunday’s local event hours. The official Pokémon GO Fest 2024 announcement also discusses Special Backgrounds for Sunday Necrozma catches. A Special Background was a chance, not a guaranteed raid reward.
