When was Phantom Ruins?
The event ran Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. through Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. These were local-time dates, not a single global time window. The schedule and activities are listed in the official Pokémon GO announcement.
Which Pokémon appeared during Phantom Ruins?
Wild encounters
These Pokémon appeared more frequently in the wild during the event:
- Rhyhorn
- Duskull
- Skorupi
- Drilbur
- Archen
- Gothita

- Phantump
Sableye and Chimecho were additional possible wild encounters. The announcement marked eligible species as potentially shiny, but did not publish encounter rates or shiny odds.

Incense attracted Sableye, Chimecho, Gothita, Rufflet, Phantump, and Greavard. Gothita and Phantump were notable targets because the event also advertised an increased chance of encountering their shiny forms.

The official announcement did not give a numerical shiny rate, so “increased chance” should not be read as a specific probability. It also did not say that completing a Collection Challenge unlocked permanent bonuses; it described challenge rewards generally as reward encounters and more. The event announcement lists the time-limited bonuses separately.
What was featured in Max Battles?
Six-star Max Battles featuring Gigantamax Inteleon were scheduled from Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. through Sunday, June 15, at 9:00 p.m. local time. This activity therefore ended before the main event window did.

What did the paid Timed Research include?
The optional Timed Research ticket cost US$1.99 or the local equivalent. It focused on exploration and catching Pokémon and listed encounters with Gothita and Phantump, plus five Incense. Players had to complete the tasks and claim the rewards by June 18, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time; that deadline has passed. See the official Timed Research announcement.
- Tickets could be gifted to friends at Great Friends level or higher.
- Tickets could not be purchased with PokéCoins.
- Purchases were nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and the Terms of Service.
The Pokémon GO Web Store also announced a Phantom Ruins Ultra Ticket Box for US$1.99 or local equivalent, containing an event ticket and five Ultra Balls. Its announced availability began June 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. PDT. This was a past offer, not a current purchase option.

Did Collection Challenges give permanent bonuses?
The event included Collection Challenges, but the announcement does not provide their individual tasks or rewards. It does not state that completing one granted a permanent bonus. Its general description of challenge rewards is “reward encounters and more,” while the listed event bonuses were limited to the event schedule.

Phantom Ruins and its paid research claim window are over. For current Pokémon GO activities, check the official event calendar rather than relying on this historical schedule. The Pokémon GO team advises players to “be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO.”
