This guide follows Pokémon GO Hub’s location list, updated September 1, 2026; those locations describe normal availability, not a guarantee that a Pokémon is spawning now.
How to read the regional list
Pokémon GO Hub counts 51 species with some form of regional restriction. Under its counting method, the total becomes 57 Pokédex entries when six evolved entries are counted separately. Those are community-guide counts, not an official Niantic master-list total. The table below keeps related species and forms together where possible and identifies when access normally comes from a raid, Egg, form change, or Postcard rather than a local wild spawn.
Broad labels such as “Asia-Pacific” and “Western Hemisphere” are the guide’s practical groupings; they should not be treated as exact border maps. Some entries have narrower boundaries, and paired regionals or raid rotations can change. Check the individual Pokémon and current event details before planning a trip.

| Heracross | Mexico, Central America, South America, and parts of southern Florida and Texas | Regional wild spawn |

| Furfrou trims | Debutante: the Americas. Diamond: Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Star: Asia-Pacific. La Reine: France. Kabuki: Japan. Pharaoh: Egypt. | Furfrou is globally available; these trims are regional form changes, not separate regional wild-spawn species. |

How to get regional Pokémon without travelling
The Pokémon GO Help Center recommends trading with Trainers from other parts of the world to collect Pokémon exclusive to their regions. It also notes that live events can feature Pokémon that are not typically available in a player’s region. Pokémon GO Hub lists trades, selected global or city events, regional raids when active, and Eggs or research during some events as alternative routes. These are opportunities to check, not a promise that a particular Pokémon is currently available.

- Trade: Ask a Trainer who has caught the Pokémon or form to trade it. This is the most direct alternative to visiting its normal region, though the available trade and its costs depend on the game’s current trading rules.
- Watch event announcements: A special event may temporarily make a normally regional Pokémon available elsewhere. Check the event details before travelling or using a Remote Raid Pass.
- Check raids: For raid-linked entries, confirm that the Pokémon is in the current rotation and whether the raid is available in your area.
- Check Eggs and research: Some events have provided regional Pokémon through Eggs or research. Those routes are event-dependent rather than permanent access.
- Use Postcards for Vivillon: Pin eligible Postcards from different regions to work toward Scatterbug encounters and their corresponding Vivillon patterns.
How to check what is nearby
In Pokémon GO, open the Nearby menu to see Pokémon around your current location, including wild Pokémon near PokéStops. Tap a Pokémon entry and its footprint to locate the PokéStop on the Map View. This helps check nearby sightings; it is not a global map of regional boundaries and cannot confirm that a Pokémon will spawn at a particular destination.
Biome Pokémon are not the same as regional exclusives
Wiglett, Silicobra, and Toedscool are better described as habitat- or biome-limited than country-locked regionals: the guide associates them with beaches, desert-like environments, and forests, respectively. Those environments can occur in multiple countries. The Help Center also explains that real-world environments influence wild encounters and that seasons or events can bring Pokémon outside their usual biome.

Check before making a trip
Regional availability describes the normal pattern, not continuous spawning. Pokémon GO Hub’s September 1, 2026 guide is a dated community reference, while a second community-maintained regional list says its data was checked August 24, 2026 and warns that hemisphere pairs can rotate. Niantic’s Help Center says special events can feature Pokémon not typically found in a player’s region. For a long or costly trip, verify the exact Pokémon’s current event and raid availability and look for recent local sightings; broad regional labels are not precise boundary guarantees.
