How to plan the multi-day tasks
Several objectives are tied to calendar days rather than just a cumulative catch total. Steps 1 and 2 require catches on 10 and 15 different days, respectively; Steps 3 and 4 each require catches on 21 different days. Step 5 adds a separate streak: catch a Pokémon on five consecutive days. The listed task wording does not say those day counts must be consecutive except for the Step 5 streak.
The official announcement says claimed Masterwork Research does not expire, so you can work through those day-based tasks at your own pace rather than treating them as a deadline. Keep track of which task is active in the Special Research screen, especially when you are planning around the five-day streak.

The announcement introduced Shiny Keldeo through Pony Tales during Final Justice. The wider Tales of Transformation season ran from September 2 to December 2, 2025, local time, according to the official season page. The sale dates and season dates are different: the event ticket was purchasable for a shorter period.
How to confirm the Keldeo is shiny
On the encounter screen, Pokémon GO displays a Shiny icon above the Pokémon’s CP when the Pokémon is Shiny. The Pokémon GO Help Center describes Shiny Pokémon as having different coloration and identifies that icon as the on-screen indicator.
