For Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh Global, choose Diamond for an Origin Forme Dialga encounter with Roar of Time, or Pearl for an Origin Forme Palkia encounter with Spacial Rend. The choice came down to two different Adventure Effects: pausing certain item timers or extending the distance at which wild Pokémon could be encountered.
What did the Diamond or Pearl choice give you?
The version choice applied to Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh Global on February 24–25, 2024. The official Pokémon GO announcement tied Diamond to Origin Forme Dialga that knew Roar of Time, and Pearl to Origin Forme Palkia that knew Spacial Rend.
| Choice | Guaranteed encounter | Adventure Effect | Effect cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Diamond | Origin Forme Dialga with Roar of Time | Paused the timers for Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces | 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy per use |
| Pearl | Origin Forme Palkia with Spacial Rend | Increased the distance at which wild Pokémon could be encountered | 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy per use |
These effects addressed different needs rather than making one version objectively better. Roar of Time helped preserve the remaining time on four named items; Spacial Rend expanded wild encounter distance. The official announcement describes the effects and their costs, but does not establish a universal advantage for either choice.
Which version should you choose?
Choose Diamond for Roar of Time
Diamond suited players who wanted to pause the timers on Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, or Star Pieces. Each use of its Adventure Effect required 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy, according to the official effect details.
