Where to find Ditto in Paldea
Wild Ditto are reported in West Province (Area Two) and West Province (Area Three); Nintendo Life also lists both areas. In Area Two, search around the west side of Medali. In Area Three, a useful landmark is the cliffs above Cascarrafa. These are search areas, not a guarantee that Ditto will appear at a particular spot.

Game8 lists the time as any and describes Ditto’s habitat as grass (uncommon) and town (common). You do not need to wait for a particular time of day.
How to identify a disguised Ditto
Do not rely on seeing Ditto’s familiar pink form in the overworld. Wild Ditto may appear disguised as other Pokémon. When you spot a suspicious wild Pokémon, press ZL to lock on and read the name displayed above it. If the name says “Ditto,” you have found one.

If the display says “???,” the Pokémon may not yet be registered in your Pokédex. You may need to battle it to confirm what it is.
How to catch it
- Travel to West Province (Area Two) or West Province (Area Three), and scan the nearby wild Pokémon.
- Press ZL on a suspicious target and check its displayed name.
- When you have identified Ditto—or need to battle a “???” target to confirm it—engage it.
- If the opponent is Ditto, use an available Poké Ball through the ordinary battle capture flow.
The sources do not establish a best Poké Ball, a guaranteed method, or a specific catch rate. If the target proves to be another species, keep checking the surrounding Pokémon.

Can you find Ditto in Tera Raid Battles?
Game8 also lists Ditto as a possible Tera Raid Battle encounter at 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-star levels. That listing does not establish how frequently these raids appear or whether raids are faster or easier than searching the wild. For the straightforward method, look in the two West Province areas and use ZL to identify disguised Pokémon.
