First catch and register a regular Vulpix, then accept the request from Professor Laventon’s lab blackboard, find five Alolan Vulpix in Avalanche Slopes, and report back to Keaka at Snowfields Camp.
What you need before starting
Catch a regular Vulpix and register it in your Pokédex. Thonky places regular Vulpix at Veilstone Cape in the Cobalt Coastlands; its guide says to catch one before checking the blackboard: Thonky’s Vulpix guide.
Game8 also lists rideable Hisuian Braviary as a prerequisite for Request 83. Braviary is helpful for surveying the snowy, steep search area from above, but the task itself is to locate five Vulpix and return to Keaka.
Accept Request 83
Go to Professor Laventon’s lab and read the blackboard to find Request 83, “Snow-White Vulpix in the Snow.” The request is given by Keaka, who is waiting at Snowfields Camp in the Alabaster Icelands.
#1 Best Overall
- Action meets RPG in this new take on the Pokémon series
- Study Pokémon behaviors, sneak up on them, and toss a well-aimed Poké Ball to catch them
- Unleash moves in the speedy agile style or the powerful strong style in battles
- Travel to the Hisui region—the Sinnoh of old—and build the region’s first Pokédex
- Learn about the Mythical Pokémon Arceus, the key to this mysterious tale
Find the five Alolan Vulpix
- Travel to Snowfields Camp in the Alabaster Icelands and speak with Keaka to begin the search.
- Go to Avalanche Slopes and look for all five Alolan Vulpix. The quest targets are in this area; the available walkthrough information does not establish exact coordinates for each one.
- Use rideable Hisuian Braviary to scan the slopes from the air if you have it unlocked, then approach the Vulpix you have yet to find.
Return to Keaka for the reward
After locating all five, return to Keaka at Snowfields Camp and complete the request. The reward is one Alolan Vulpix and one Exp. Candy L.
Game8 describes this request reward as the way to obtain Alolan Vulpix, rather than through a normal overworld spawn. Its walkthrough and Thonky’s guide agree on the core path, though they are secondary game guides rather than official Nintendo or Pokémon documentation.
