Pokémon Legends: Z-A Ranked Battles Season 1 ran from October 16 to November 5, 2025, and has ended. The Pokémon Company announced October 16 as the start date and named Greninjite as the promotion reward. Specialist coverage from Serebii records a 06:00 UTC start, Rank K as the rank needed for Greninjite, and the season’s end date; the official announcement does not give an exact start time or end date.

When did Ranked Season 1 start and end?

The Pokémon Company announced that Season 1 would begin Thursday, October 16, 2025. Its announcement specifies the date, but not the hour or end date. Serebii’s season listing gives the start time as 06:00 UTC and the end date as November 5, 2025. The time and end date are secondary-source details, not dates or times stated in Pokémon’s announcement.

What were the Season 1 rewards?

Ranked Battles had three reward categories: battle rewards issued after battles, promotion rewards for reaching a higher rank, and season rewards based on the rank held when the season ended. The official Pokémon announcement confirms this distinction. The amounts below are Serebii’s listed Season 1 rewards, rather than a tier breakdown in the official announcement.

Pokémon’s announcement confirms the reward but does not state the rank threshold. The company also said Greninjite is not normally obtainable through regular gameplay, duplicates cannot be received, and promotion Mega Stones were planned for redistribution in future seasons.

How did Ranked Battles work?

Pokémon describes Ranked Battles as real-time matches against trainers worldwide. Players began at Rank Z and could progress toward Rank A. Points were based on placement in four-player Link Battles, with a possible additional bonus for battle performance. A season reward was determined by the rank held at season end, while promotion rewards came from rising in rank.
