For that event, a recommended counter was Bug-Tera Mew with an Adamant nature, using Struggle Bug and Light Screen to support the team before boosting with Swords Dance and attacking with Leech Life. The raid’s Mewtwo was Modest and knew Psystrike, Aura Sphere, Ice Beam, and Calm Mind.
Is the Mewtwo raid still available?
No. The special 7-star Tera Raid ran from September 1, 2023, at 00:00 UTC through September 17, 2023, at 23:59 UTC, according to The Pokémon Company’s event announcement. It is a past event, not a currently scheduled raid. The official announcement said Mewtwo could not normally be encountered in Paldea and that this event version had Psychic as its Tera Type.

During the event, Mewtwo could be caught only once per save data. Players could continue to challenge the raid for rewards after catching it. Access required current Poké Portal News; players who had not unlocked the postgame event could join a 7-star raid hosted by someone who had. These were event-specific access rules, not a way to reopen the raid now.
What nature and moves did the raid Mewtwo have?
The event-caught Mewtwo was reported as Modest, with Psystrike, Aura Sphere, Ice Beam, and Calm Mind. The move and nature listing comes from Serebii’s event data; the official announcement confirms the Psychic Tera Type and warns that Mewtwo could use a range of moves.

Because Psychic was its Tera Type, Bug-, Ghost-, and Dark-type attacks dealt super-effective damage. That offensive advantage did not remove the need to manage its special attacks: the recommended Mew strategy focused on reducing Mewtwo’s Special Attack and shielding the team.
Recommended counter: Bug-Tera Mew
GameWith’s event guide recommended Mew as both a support Pokémon and an attacker. Its example build was:

What each move does in the plan
- Struggle Bug: Lowers Mewtwo’s Special Attack, helping limit the pressure from its special attacks.
- Light Screen: Protects the team from special damage while it is active.
- Swords Dance: Raises Mew’s Attack so its later attacks hit harder.
- Leech Life: Deals Bug-type damage and restores HP, combining offense with recovery.
How to use Mew during the raid
- Open with Struggle Bug. Use it to reduce Mewtwo’s Special Attack rather than rushing straight into setup.
- Set Light Screen. Protect the team, and refresh the screen when needed instead of assuming it will cover the whole battle.
- Build Attack with Swords Dance. Choose a safe opportunity to raise Mew’s Attack, paying attention to the raid’s shield and your team’s health.
- Attack with Leech Life. Its damage targets Mewtwo’s Bug weakness and its healing helps Mew stay in the fight.
This sequence is a plan, not a guaranteed win condition. GameWith cautioned that soloing the event was very difficult and recommended team play. Coordinate support and damage with the group, and adapt your turns to the shield and the party’s condition.

“Best Mewtwo moveset” can mean the moves on the event boss, a Pokémon built to counter that raid, or a Mewtwo for competitive battles. Those are different questions. The Modest nature and four moves above describe the raid-caught Mewtwo; Adamant Mew with the listed moves is a raid counter. The available event guidance does not establish one best Mewtwo nature or moveset for current competitive formats, which depend on the format and its rules.
