When did the Pokémon 30th-anniversary set come out?
30th Celebration released on September 16, 2026. The Pokémon Company International marked the expansion available on that date in its launch announcement. That confirms the release, not whether a specific retailer has packs in stock today.
What is in a 30th Celebration booster pack?
According to the official product showcase, each booster pack contains five foil cards, including one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations, and one foil Basic Energy card. The August 18 Pikachu reveal also says every pack includes a Pikachu card; the 30 cards have distinct illustrations, artists and attacks.
What makes the expansion an anniversary set?
The set combines new artwork themed around Pokémon appearing in both day and night scenes with a Classic Collection of iconic cards from across the TCG’s past. The official September announcement describes the expansion as having over 150 cards, rather than giving a precise total. Its nostalgic element is the Classic Collection; the main expansion also includes the new Pikachu-focused cards.

Pokémon also described later products in its announcements, but the available details do not establish that every product launched on the expansion’s September 16 date. Was the anniversary release worldwide on the same day?
Pokémon Card Game’s February 27, 2026 announcement in Japan said special 30th-anniversary products were planned for simultaneous worldwide release during 2026, with regional exceptions and local timing differences. It did not promise that every region would receive products at the same clock time, or that all later Pokémon TCG products would launch worldwide at once.
