The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is Leon S. Kennedy’s vehicle in Resident Evil Requiem. Porsche and Capcom created a customized in-game version for Leon, then built a one-off physical show car with partnership-specific parts. The collaboration is presented in the official trailer Resident Evil Requiem x Porsche – An Undying Legacy, released on February 20, 2026.
The production Cayenne Turbo GT behind the fictional ride is a 650-hp SUV rated at 0–60 mph in 3.1 seconds and a 190-mph top speed, according to Porsche. Those figures describe the road-going model, not a confirmed performance specification for Leon’s modified game vehicle.

What Porsche is in Resident Evil Requiem?
Leon drives a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT in Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom’s December 12, 2025 media alert calls it Leon’s unique in-game ride, while Porsche’s February 27, 2026 newsroom release describes the Cayenne as his trusted companion. The model is not a generic Porsche cameo: it was selected and customized for the game’s lead character.
The game version has special add-on parts developed through the Porsche–Capcom collaboration. Because those parts were made for the digital vehicle, the in-game Cayenne should be treated as a character-specific interpretation rather than a factory trim that Porsche sells unchanged.

How did Porsche and Capcom present the collaboration?
The partnership spans a game vehicle, a physical show car, a trailer and a short film. Porsche’s newsroom account says the one-off physical Cayenne debuted publicly in Los Angeles on February 19, 2026. The official trailer, titled Resident Evil Requiem x Porsche – An Undying Legacy, was published on February 20. Porsche’s main announcement followed on February 27, the game’s launch date.
| Date | Event | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| December 12, 2025 | Capcom media alert | Identifies the unique Cayenne Turbo GT as Leon’s in-game ride and lists the launch platforms. |
| February 19, 2026 | Los Angeles public debut | The physical one-off show car with specially designed add-on parts is shown publicly. |
| February 20, 2026 | Trailer and short-film premiere | The official “An Undying Legacy” trailer is released; the Porsche–Capcom short film premieres with Nick Apostolides. |
| February 27, 2026 | Resident Evil Requiem launch and Porsche newsroom release | The game arrives on PC and consoles, and Porsche details the collaboration and production vehicle. |
The short film features Nick Apostolides, Leon’s voice and motion-capture performer. That casting connects the physical car campaign to the same performer who defines Leon in the game, but the show car remains a promotional object rather than a separate game mode or purchasable player item.
Is the Resident Evil Porsche a real car?
Yes, but there are three distinct things that should not be conflated: the customized digital Cayenne in the game, the one-off physical show car used for promotion, and the standard production Cayenne Turbo GT sold in selected markets.
| Version | Where it exists | Purpose | What buyers should know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customized in-game Cayenne | Resident Evil Requiem | Leon’s vehicle | Uses partnership-specific add-on parts; it is a digital game asset. |
| One-off show car | Physical vehicle debuted in Los Angeles | Porsche–Capcom campaign and public display | Built with specially designed parts; no evidence establishes it as a customer-sale model. |
| Production Cayenne Turbo GT | Road vehicle in selected markets | Customer SUV | Porsche’s published performance figures apply to this version. |
The physical car proves that Porsche created a real-world counterpart for the campaign, not that the exact bodywork is available through a normal dealer order. The show car’s one-off status also means photographs or trailer footage should not be read as a new production trim level.
How fast is Leon’s Cayenne Turbo GT?
Porsche describes the production Cayenne Turbo GT as a 650-hp SUV with a 4.0-litre petrol engine, a 0–60 mph time of 3.1 seconds and a 190-mph top speed. Porsche attributes all three figures to the 2026 model information. They are the clearest published benchmarks for understanding the vehicle’s real-world performance.

| In-game engine figure reported separately | 631 bhp | Leon’s game vehicle, as reported by Top Gear on February 27, 2026 |
The 631-bhp figure reported by Top Gear should not be merged with Porsche’s 650-hp production specification. Different units, descriptions or fictional tuning may explain the difference, and neither source presents the two numbers as a single standardized test result. The safest reading is that 650 hp describes the road car while 631 bhp is a separately attributed figure for the in-game version.

Porsche’s explanation is built around character and vehicle presence. The company says Leon’s determination, presence and distinctive style mirror the Cayenne Turbo GT’s performance, design and presence. Deniz Keskin, Porsche’s Director of Brand Management & Partnerships, called Leon and the powerful Cayenne “a perfect match” and said the partnership connects Porsche with global pop culture in a fresh and memorable way.
That positioning matters because the Cayenne is an SUV rather than a conventional sports car. It gives Leon a high-performance vehicle with practical proportions while preserving the visual authority Porsche wanted for a lead character. The Turbo GT badge supplies the performance message; the game-specific parts supply the fictional identity.
What does the trailer actually confirm?
The trailer confirms an official, named Porsche–Capcom campaign rather than an unofficial fan edit or a vehicle inspired by Porsche styling. Its title is Resident Evil Requiem x Porsche – An Undying Legacy, and its February 20, 2026 publication date places it immediately before the game’s February 27 launch.
It also confirms that Porsche’s physical show car and the digital Cayenne belong to the same marketing concept. The campaign includes the Los Angeles debut, the short film with Apostolides and the in-game vehicle. Public material establishes the partnership and the car’s role, but it does not by itself establish every gameplay function, mission, upgrade or driving system available in Resident Evil Requiem.

Where can you play Resident Evil Requiem?
Resident Evil Requiem launched on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. The platform list comes from Capcom’s December 12, 2025 media alert. The Porsche collaboration is therefore tied to the game’s released console and PC versions, not to a separately announced mobile title.
Platform availability does not guarantee that the Cayenne can be freely selected at any point. The official partnership descriptions identify it as Leon’s ride, while detailed information about mission access, controls and customization belongs to the game itself.
Can you buy the Porsche from the trailer?
You cannot assume that the exact Resident Evil show car is available for ordinary customer purchase. Porsche describes that vehicle as a one-off physical car built for the campaign. A dealer may sell a production Cayenne Turbo GT where the model is offered, but the promotional add-on parts and Resident Evil identity are not established as a regular factory package.
Regional availability of the production model
Porsche’s notices say the Cayenne Turbo GT is not offered in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India or Singapore. Porsche’s story identifies the United States as a customer market for the real model. Availability, certification and inventory can change, so buyers should verify current status with Porsche in their country rather than relying on the trailer or an old listing.
Models and merchandise
Official fan products are easier to obtain than the one-off car, although stock and geography still vary. Porsche lists a 1:43 Cayenne Turbo GT Coupé (E3 II) collector model under item WAP0200330RCAY. A specialist retailer also directs shoppers to marketplace listings for a 1:64 Cayenne Turbo GT die-cast model. These are standard Cayenne Turbo GT miniatures, not scale replicas of the Resident Evil show car.

Porsche’s official Resident Evil collection includes a T-shirt, hoodie, cap and canvas bag. The checked T-shirt and hoodie pages were sold out, so a product appearing in the collection does not guarantee live inventory. When buying through a marketplace, check the seller, country, scale, product code, price and current stock before paying.
How can you tell which Cayenne product you are looking at?
Use the following checks to avoid confusing a standard collectible with the campaign vehicle:
- Read the model description: “Cayenne Turbo GT” identifies the base road-car subject; it does not prove Resident Evil bodywork.
- Check the scale and item number: Porsche’s listed 1:43 model uses item WAP0200330RCAY.
- Look for explicit licensing: A genuine Resident Evil product should identify the Porsche–Capcom collaboration or official collection, not merely use a photograph from the trailer.
- Separate display value from performance: A die-cast model has no relationship to the 650-hp, 3.1-second or 190-mph road-car figures.
- Verify seller and region: Marketplace listings, shipping rules and inventory can differ by country and can change after publication.
What is the difference between the game car, show car and road car?
The distinction affects both performance claims and purchase decisions. The game car is authored for Leon and may carry fictional tuning or parts. The show car is a physical, campaign-specific exhibit. The road car is the production vehicle to which Porsche attaches its published specifications and market restrictions.

Calling all three “the Porsche in Resident Evil” is understandable but imprecise. Use “Leon’s customized in-game Cayenne” when discussing gameplay, “one-off show car” when discussing the Los Angeles display or short film, and “production Cayenne Turbo GT” when discussing horsepower, acceleration, top speed or buying a vehicle.
Why does this crossover matter to video-game fans?
The collaboration is notable because it treats the vehicle as part of Leon’s characterization rather than as a passing logo placement. Porsche supplied a recognizable performance model, Capcom adapted it with dedicated parts, and the partners extended the idea into a real show car and a filmed appearance by Leon’s performer.

For fans, that creates several layers of collectibility: the game appearance, the trailer and short film, the physical Los Angeles car, official apparel and standard Cayenne miniatures. Each layer has a different level of authenticity and availability. The game asset is the canonical Leon connection; the show car is the rarest physical expression; merchandise and die-cast models are the practical options for collectors.
The campaign also demonstrates why performance numbers need careful attribution in crossover coverage. Porsche’s 650-hp, 3.1-second and 190-mph figures describe a real production SUV, while the separately reported 631-bhp game figure belongs to a fictionalized version. Keeping those categories separate prevents trailer marketing from being mistaken for a laboratory test of the playable vehicle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Cayenne Turbo GT available in every country?
No. Porsche’s notice excludes Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and Singapore, while identifying the United States as a customer market. Local certification, ordering and inventory should be confirmed directly because market availability can change.
Does the show car have the same engine as the production SUV?
Public campaign material identifies the show car’s specially designed add-on parts but does not publish a separate engine test or performance sheet for that one-off. The 650-hp, 3.1-second and 190-mph figures belong to Porsche’s production Cayenne Turbo GT description.
Who plays Leon in the Porsche short film?
Nick Apostolides appears in the short film. He is Leon’s voice and motion-capture performer in the game, linking the campaign film to the character’s established performance.
Are the Porsche merchandise listings permanent?
No. Porsche’s Resident Evil collection includes apparel and accessories, but the checked T-shirt and hoodie pages were sold out. Product pages, regional shipping and inventory can change independently of the game’s availability.
