PUBG MOBILE Version 3.8 began rolling out on May 8, 2025, pairing its Steampunk Frontier mode with a limited-time Attack on Titan crossover. The event added ODM gear, Titan transformations and familiar locations such as Utgard Castle—but it was a 2025 release, not a new 2026 update.
What PUBG MOBILE 3.8 added
Version 3.8 centered on two ideas: a steampunk-themed map experience and an Attack on Titan collaboration. KRAFTON Japan announced the update rollout for May 8, 2025, alongside the crossover features (KRAFTON Japan announcement; official collaboration page).
Steampunk Frontier
Steampunk Frontier featured a giant steam locomotive, stations and a roller coaster. ANTARA reported that the mode appeared on Erangel, Livik and Rondo, with Aetherholm station and rail routes crossing the maps; that map list reflects ANTARA’s report rather than a globally confirmed official schedule (ANTARA report).
Attack on Titan crossover
The collaboration brought ODM gear for rapid movement and serum items that let players transform into Titans. Its setting and references included Eren Jaeger’s basement and Utgard Castle. KRAFTON Japan also described the Colossal Titan appearing in northeastern Erangel and Titans destroying the tower at Utgard Castle.

How the Titan mechanics worked
ODM gear and movement
ODM gear was the crossover’s mobility feature, offering a way to move rapidly through the environment rather than relying only on ordinary traversal. The official event page also named compressed-gas cylinders as part of the equipment.
Pure Titan and Attack Titan
Titan serum enabled a transformation into a Pure Titan. A separate Attack Titan serum was described by KRAFTON Japan as stronger than the Pure Titan form and limited to one per match. The official event page said players could obtain the Attack Titan serum during the train’s second stop.

Is the Attack on Titan event still available?
The sources describe the collaboration as a 2025 event, with Pocket Gamer reporting July 6, 2025, as its final availability date. They do not confirm whether PUBG MOBILE has brought it back or whether any of its content remains accessible in 2026. Treat it as a past limited-time event unless the game itself announces a rerun.
