If PUBG: New State shows “Cannot connect to the server” or “Unstable connection. Please restart the game.”, first check for a maintenance announcement, then verify your connection and game update. If the message keeps appearing, KRAFTON’s guidance is to contact NEW STATE Support with a screenshot and device details; the popup alone does not identify its cause.
What the server connection message means
KRAFTON’s NEW STATE Mobile Help Center addresses both “Cannot connect to the server” and “Unstable connection. Please restart the game.” It does not say either popup proves that your internet is down, nor does it identify one guaranteed fix. The cause needs to be confirmed for the individual case.
What to check before contacting support
- Check official community announcements for maintenance. KRAFTON says NEW STATE Mobile cannot run during server maintenance and points players to official communities for maintenance schedules. Check announcements relevant to your region; this guidance does not confirm whether the servers are currently under maintenance.
- Verify your connection. Make sure your device can access the internet over Wi-Fi or mobile data. KRAFTON’s running guide includes network troubleshooting, but a connection check is not a confirmed diagnosis or guaranteed fix for this popup.
- Check for a game update. Confirm NEW STATE Mobile has no pending update. The official guide also covers update issues, but an outdated version is not established as the cause of this specific error.
How to report a persistent popup
If the exact message continues after those checks, follow KRAFTON’s instruction to send the issue through NEW STATE Support. Include a screenshot of the popup and the requested details so support can identify and confirm the cause:
- Your in-game nickname
- Your device’s operating system version
- Your device model
- The inquiry type
- A concise description of when the message appears, such as during launch or login
The official support article is “A pop-up message is shown on my screen”. For maintenance and general launch, network, or update guidance, see KRAFTON’s “Installing and Running Application” page.
