A crash to desktop is not the same symptom as a blue screen, and identifying a cause in an individual case requires the relevant crash evidence. Start with PUBG’s troubleshooting steps; if the problem continues, submit the requested logs and system details to support.
What is known about the Wellbia allegation?
The reports describe players attributing PUBG PC crashes to Wellbia’s XIGNCODE3. That attribution remains an allegation: PUBG Support and Wellbia do not document the specific reports or confirm that XIGNCODE3 caused them. A crash occurring while anti-cheat software is present does not, by itself, show that the software caused it.
Keep the symptoms distinct. A crash to desktop closes the game; a blue screen is a Windows stop error. Wellbia’s published guidance addresses how to investigate a blue screen, not proof that XIGNCODE3 caused the player-reported desktop crashes. There is no reliable published statistic establishing how common these reports are or what caused them.
What to try when PUBG crashes to desktop
PUBG Support’s General Crashing and Performance Guide recommends these steps. Treat them as troubleshooting, not guaranteed fixes or confirmation of an anti-cheat cause.

- Remove Steam launch options. In Steam, open PUBG’s Properties and remove custom entries in Launch Options.
- Verify the game files. In Steam, open PUBG’s Properties, find the installed-files option, and run the file-integrity verification.
- Install available Windows and graphics-driver updates. Restart if an update requires it, then check whether the crash still occurs.
- Disable fullscreen optimization. PUBG lists this among its troubleshooting recommendations.
- If the earlier checks do not help, consider a clean reinstall and disable hardware overclocking while troubleshooting. These are additional options in PUBG’s guide.
Change one thing at a time where practical and note whether the symptom changes. That makes the information more useful if you need to contact support.
What to send PUBG Support if the crash continues
PUBG asks players whose issue persists after troubleshooting to open a support ticket. Include the information needed to identify when the issue began and investigate the crash:

- The approximate date the crashes started.
- A specific description of what happens, including any error message or code.
- Your DxDiag information.
- The latest crash dump, zipped from
%localappdata%TslGameSavedCrashes.
Follow PUBG’s support guide to submit the ticket and provide the files. PUBG’s guide asks for crash dumps when general troubleshooting has not resolved the problem.
If the symptom is a blue screen
For a blue screen that you suspect may involve XIGNCODE3, Wellbia says a memory dump is required to investigate whether XIGNCODE-related activity was involved. Its XIGNCODE3 FAQ directs users to email the dump and details to Wellbia support. This is a separate diagnostic route from PUBG’s crash-to-desktop dump request.

Wellbia says XIGNCODE3 should normally uninstall with the game client and provides an uninstaller for remnants. Avoid manually deleting anti-cheat drivers or files as a general crash fix.

Wellbia’s FAQ maps XIGNCODE3 error codes to possible issues including update or launch problems, duplicate processes, damaged files, compatibility issues, interference from other software, and limited system resources. Those are possible conditions, not a diagnosis of a PUBG crash. If an XIGNCODE3 error persists, Wellbia says to send the relevant log to its support team.

PUBG’s August 11, 2025 anti-cheat letter says its anti-cheat solution runs while the client is active and shuts down after the client exits. It also warns that multiple game clients running alongside security software may conflict or behave unexpectedly, and recommends closing one client when warned. This is general compatibility guidance; it does not establish that Wellbia caused the older player-reported crashes.
PUBG’s June 25, 2026 anti-cheat letter discusses policy and detection changes, but does not document the Wellbia crash allegation.
