Start with this diagnostic checklist
Before replacing anything, write down:
- Which program or game triggers the message
- Whether it appears at Windows startup, when launching an app, or during an update
- The complete error text
- Whether the requesting program is 32-bit or 64-bit
- The folder path shown for the program or DLL
qmproxyacclsp.dll is associated by public file records with Tencent Online Game Accelerator, also known as 腾讯网游加速器. It is not a normal Windows component, so the safest repair is to restore or remove the Tencent application that originally installed it, not to copy a replacement into System32.
What qmproxyacclsp.dll belongs to
This is an obscure third-party application DLL. Public catalog records associate it with Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Company Limited and Tencent Online Game Accelerator. Those records report a 32-bit build, version 3.0.11.134, measuring approximately 133 KB, but those are catalog details rather than an independently verified Tencent specification.

- A Microsoft runtime
- A DirectX component
- A standard Visual C++ Redistributable DLL
- A file that should normally be placed in
C:WindowsSystem32orC:WindowsSysWOW64
Its expected location is the Tencent accelerator’s own installation directory. A file with the right name in a random folder is not automatically genuine.

The error can say that the file is missing, was not found, could not be loaded, or is not designed to run on Windows. “The specified module could not be found” can also mean that a dependency used by the named DLL is missing.
Fix 1: Identify and repair the original Tencent installation
This is the fastest and most reliable fix if you still use the associated Tencent software.
Find the program requesting the DLL
- Read the entire error dialog and note the application name.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Select Startup apps and look for Tencent, Game Accelerator, or an unfamiliar entry that starts when the error appears.
- Right-click a likely entry and select Open file location.
- In Task Manager, select Details if the program is currently running, right-click its process, and choose Open file location.
- Press Windows key + R, type
services.msc, and press Enter. Check for a Tencent-related service. - Open Event Viewer by pressing Windows key + R, entering
eventvwr.msc, and pressing Enter. Check Windows Logs → Application for an error at the time the message appeared.
You can also search installed application folders:
- Open File Explorer.
- Select This PC.
- Search for
qmproxyacclsp.dll. - Record every result’s full path. Do not run or replace a copy yet.
If the error appears only after Tencent software was removed, the requester may be an orphaned startup entry or service rather than a functioning application.
Repair through Windows, if available
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Select Apps → Installed apps.
- Search for Tencent Online Game Accelerator or a related Tencent entry.
- Select the three-dot menu beside it.
- Choose Advanced options, if available.
- Select Repair.
- Restart Windows and launch the affected program again.
Not every traditional desktop application provides the Advanced options or Repair button. If the option is missing, use the original Tencent installer or launcher and choose its repair, update, or file-verification function if one is offered.
If repair does not restore the file:
- Uninstall the Tencent accelerator from Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Restart Windows.
- Reinstall it only from a legitimate Tencent installer or the original software distribution channel.
- Run the installer as administrator by right-clicking it and selecting Run as administrator.
Do not assume that installing a different game will provide this DLL. No specific modern game has been reliably identified as its owner.
Fix 2: Check antivirus Protection history
Antivirus software may have quarantined or removed the DLL. This commonly follows a Tencent update, an interrupted installation, or corruption in the application folder.
To inspect Microsoft Defender:
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Review detections from the time the error began.
- Open a relevant entry and note the detected file path and detection name.
Do not restore the file merely because its name appears in the error. First check whether:
- The original path is inside the expected Tencent installation directory
- The file was digitally signed by the expected publisher
- The Tencent installer came from a legitimate source
- A full Defender scan reports additional suspicious files

If the file is clearly part of a valid, still-used installation, restore it only after confirming those details. Defender may detect it again unless it is explicitly allowed. If the path is suspicious, leave it quarantined, run a full scan, and reinstall the application from its legitimate source instead.
Fix 3: Remove an obsolete startup entry or service
Tencent reportedly moved the old accelerator toward a newer Game Manager product, and secondary discussion described the older service as being discontinued from 2022 onward. Because a current official support page for the old accelerator is not available here, treat old installations as potentially obsolete.
If you no longer need the accelerator:
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Uninstall Tencent Online Game Accelerator and related entries you recognize.
- Restart Windows.
- Open Task Manager → Startup apps.
- Disable any remaining Tencent accelerator entry.
- Open
services.msc. - If a clearly identified Tencent accelerator service remains, open its Properties, set Startup type to Disabled, and stop it.
- Check Task Scheduler for a clearly named Tencent accelerator task and remove it if it belongs to the uninstalled program.
Do not delete an unfamiliar service solely because its name looks technical. Confirm its executable path first. If the error disappears after disabling the orphaned entry, restoring the DLL was unnecessary.

Fix 4: Verify the requesting application’s files
If a game launcher or Tencent client still owns the failing program, use its built-in repair function.
Look for menu items named:
- Verify files
- Repair
- Scan and repair
- Check installation
- Update
The exact wording differs by launcher. Allow the process to finish, restart Windows, and test the application. This is preferable to downloading one DLL because the launcher can restore the correct set of files and dependencies.
If verification fails repeatedly:
- Uninstall the affected application.
- Restart Windows.
- Reinstall it from its official launcher or installer.
- Start it once as administrator if the installer or vendor specifically requires elevated setup.
- Recheck antivirus Protection history if the DLL disappears again.
Fix 5: Check architecture and file authenticity
A 64-bit version of Windows can run a 32-bit application. The relevant match is between the DLL and the executable requesting it.
A reported qmproxyacclsp.dll record is 32-bit, but that does not validate every copy found online. If the error says the file is not designed to run on Windows:

- Confirm that the DLL and executable came from the same application installation.
- Right-click the DLL, choose Properties, and inspect Digital Signatures.
- Check the Details tab for publisher and file information.
- Compare the DLL’s folder with the program’s installation directory.
- Remove suspicious duplicate copies from consideration rather than moving them into Windows folders.
A valid filename can still belong to the wrong build, architecture, or a tampered file. The reported catalog hashes are useful only as reference metadata, not as proof that an unknown copy is safe.

Fix 6: Repair Windows components when other system errors exist
DISM and SFC are appropriate when Windows itself is damaged, Windows Update is failing, or several protected system files are reporting errors. They are not a guaranteed way to restore a private Tencent DLL.
- Install pending updates through Settings → Windows Update.
- Open Start and type Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- Wait for it to complete.
- Then run:
sfc /scannow
- Restart Windows and test the application.
Microsoft provides the supported DISM and SFC procedure. If SFC reports that it repaired files but the Tencent error remains, repair the Tencent installation instead.
Repeatedly running SFC or DISM without identifying the requesting program usually wastes time.

Fix 7: Update drivers only when the evidence points there
A graphics or network driver is not a known source of qmproxyacclsp.dll, so do not begin by reinstalling every driver. Consider this step only if the error began immediately after a driver change and other applications show related failures.
To check Device Manager:
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters, Network adapters, or the category named in the error.
- Right-click the affected device and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows.
You can also choose Properties → Driver to inspect the current driver or use Roll Back Driver if the problem began immediately after an update. Use the hardware manufacturer’s official support channel for a manual driver package.
Manually hunting through hardware models and driver versions can create a second problem if the wrong package is installed. Do not use regsvr32 for this file
regsvr32 is intended for DLLs that expose registration entry points such as DllRegisterServer, commonly ActiveX or COM components. There is no evidence that qmproxyacclsp.dll is such a component.
Do not run:
regsvr32 qmproxyacclsp.dll
A “DllRegisterServer entry point was not found” message would not repair a missing application dependency. Microsoft explains the command’s purpose in its regsvr32 documentation.

- Malware or tampered contents
- The wrong build
- The wrong architecture
- Missing exports
- Dependencies that are also absent
Copying it into System32, SysWOW64, or a random game folder can create conflicts and still leave the original application broken. It can also cause Windows or antivirus software to load a different copy than the program expected.

If nothing has worked
Escalate in this order:
- Capture the complete error dialog.
- Record the requesting executable’s path.
- Record every copy of
qmproxyacclsp.dllfound on the computer. - Note the Windows version and whether the application is 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Record any antivirus detection name and original path.
- Run a full Microsoft Defender scan.
- Perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of the affected application.

Should I install Visual C++ Redistributable?
Only if the requesting application requires it. Microsoft provides separate x86 and x64 Visual C++ packages, but there is no reliable evidence that this particular DLL is a Visual C++ runtime file.
Why does the message appear after uninstalling Tencent software?
The uninstaller may have left a startup entry, service, scheduled task, or shortcut that still attempts to load the DLL. Remove the orphaned entry instead of restoring a file you no longer need.
Can I fix it by copying the file into System32?
No. That is unsafe and often ineffective. Restore the original application installation or remove the requester.
What if the DLL is present but still will not load?
Check whether the executable is loading another copy, whether the file is signed, whether its architecture matches the requester, and whether one of its dependencies is missing. A clean application reinstall is usually the next step.
