Wombo Games has continued updating the game; as of October 8, 2026, Steam still lists it as an Early Access title.
What kind of game is Raiders of Blackveil?
Steam describes Raiders of Blackveil as a top-down multiplayer roguelite action RPG with MOBA-inspired characters and extraction elements. Players fight through raids, collect loot and try to bring it home, build characters through a class perk system, and take on higher difficulties for better loot. The listing supports both single-player and online co-op, and names Wombo Games as developer and publisher. Steam store listing
What did the Early Access launch add over the demo?
Wombo Games’ December 15, 2025 launch notes document a substantial set of additions and changes. They do not provide a complete side-by-side inventory of the demo and launch builds, so the exact demo-to-launch difference cannot be quantified from those notes.
A new biome and raid encounters
The launch added The Harvest Operation, a biome with distinct levels and systems built around shield generators and power cores. Those systems affect enemy spawns, while traps and environmental hazards add further obstacles. Players can also switch biomes during a run. More ways to build and progress
The notes also list additional perks and Duo perks, a reworked equipment system, and changes to progression and difficulty. Together, these additions broadened the launch build’s combat and character-building options; the notes do not give a complete numerical comparison against the demo.
Controls, interface and technical changes
Launch improvements included expanded key rebinding, gamepad support, UI updates, added localization, and technical improvements. Steam lists full controller support and identifies Xbox and PlayStation controllers, but a controller is optional rather than a stated requirement. Steam store listing

Ghoulag Update — May 19, 2026
Wombo Games described the Ghoulag Update as its biggest update to that point. It added the Ghoulag biome, a biome boss and mini-boss, new enemies and equipment, Champion Talents, the Perk+ system, Offline Mode, and Steam Cloud integration. Ghoulag Update notes

How much content does the Steam listing describe?
Steam’s Early Access questionnaire and current store description give different perk totals, so they should be read in context rather than combined into one count.

Wombo Games said in its Steam Early Access questionnaire, “We believe we will be in EA around 6 to 12 months.” That is the developer’s estimate, not a promised release date. The same disclosure describes plans to add rebel champions and biomes and to use community feedback during development. Steam still marked the game as Early Access on October 8, 2026, so the estimate should not be treated as confirmation that the game has left Early Access. Steam store listing
