Rayman Legends Retold is scheduled for December 3, 2026, so there are no launch-day benchmarks yet. The safest starting point is to match your hardware to Ubisoft’s published tier, keep its listed preset, and use the recommended Quality upscaler: 1080p Low for minimum hardware, 1080p High for the recommended tier, 1440p High for the 1440p tier, or 4K Ultra for the top tier. Every published target is 60 FPS, but a target is not a guarantee that every system will sustain that rate. Ubisoft also specifies an SSD, dual-channel memory and DirectX 12 throughout.
What are the best starting settings for Rayman Legends Retold on PC?
Use the official tier that matches your CPU, GPU and memory, then change only one variable at a time after launch. Ubisoft’s September 23, 2026 specification gives four resolution-and-preset targets, all paired with Quality upscaling and a 60 FPS objective. These are publisher targets, not independently measured frame rates.

The full specification requires 33 GB available on an SSD. The lower tier lists 64-bit Windows 10, while the higher tiers list Windows 11. Intel graphics in Ubisoft’s tables require Resizable BAR (ReBAR) enabled.
How do Ubisoft’s four graphics tiers differ?
Each tier combines a display resolution, a fixed preset and a Quality upscaling mode. Select the row that your complete system can support rather than choosing by GPU name alone. A graphics card that appears close to an example on paper does not automatically make the rest of the configuration equivalent: the CPU, memory mode, operating system and storage requirement still apply.

1080p Low: the minimum target
Ubisoft pairs 1080p Low with an Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB of dual-channel RAM and one of three example GPUs: a GeForce GTX 1660 with 6 GB, Radeon RX 5500 XT with 4 GB or Intel Arc A580 with 8 GB. Quality FSR or Quality XeSS is specified. This is the entry point for a 60 FPS target, not a promise that a weaker or single-channel system will hold 60 FPS.
If your PC is below this row, use it as a warning that the configuration is outside Ubisoft’s stated target rather than as a reason to assume that every setting will run acceptably. Start at 1,920 × 1,080 only if that is your monitor’s native or preferred mode, and keep the Low preset and a listed Quality option together while you establish a baseline.
1080p High: the recommended target
The recommended 1080p row raises the preset to High and memory to 16 GB dual-channel. Its CPU examples are Core i5-8400 and Ryzen 5 3600; GPU examples are RTX 2060 S 8 GB, RX 5700 8 GB and Arc A750 8 GB. Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS are all listed for this row.
This is the most useful reference point for a typical 1080p gaming PC: it is not a separate 120-FPS profile, and Ubisoft does not state that moving from Low to High produces a fixed performance cost. If High is not smooth on the final build, step down to the 1080p Low row before attempting to guess which individual effect is responsible.
1440p High: the 2,560 × 1,440 target
For 1440p, Ubisoft keeps High, the Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 3600 and 16 GB dual-channel RAM, but moves to RTX 3070 8 GB, RX 6750 XT 12 GB or Arc B580 examples. Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS remain the starting choices. The 1440p listing is useful for a 1440p monitor, but it does not establish how much headroom any particular card has for higher refresh rates.
Do not read the 1440p row as a requirement to buy a new monitor. It is a target for a 2,560 × 1,440 output resolution. If your display is 1080p, the 1080p High row is the more relevant comparison; if your display is 4K, the 4K row is the stated reference, even though a lower output resolution may be a sensible fallback.
4K Ultra: the 3,840 × 2,160 target
The top row targets 4K Ultra at 60 FPS with a Core i5-9400 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB dual-channel RAM, and either an RTX 4080 16 GB or RX 7900 XTX 24 GB example. Ubisoft lists Quality DLSS or Quality FSR here; XeSS is not included in this row. Treat this as the hardware class Ubisoft associates with 4K Ultra, not as a guarantee of native 4K rendering.
Quality upscaling is part of the published 4K profile. Therefore, “4K Ultra” describes the selected output resolution and preset, not a promise that every pixel is rendered internally at native 3,840 × 2,160. Ubisoft has not published a native-resolution benchmark for this game.
Can my PC run Rayman Legends Retold at 60 FPS?
Compare your system with all of the relevant columns, not just the GPU. For 1080p Low, look for the Core i3-8100 or Ryzen 3 3100 class, 8 GB in dual-channel mode and one of the listed entry GPUs. For 1080p High and 1440p High, Ubisoft moves to 16 GB dual-channel and the Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 3600 class, while the GPU changes substantially between the two resolutions. For 4K Ultra, the CPU examples become Core i5-9400 or Ryzen 5 3600 and the graphics examples rise to RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX.

Meeting one part of a row does not turn the result into a guarantee. A listed GPU in a system with insufficient memory, an unsupported operating-system requirement or no SSD is not a complete match. Conversely, a faster component does not establish a measured frame-rate result because Ubisoft has published targets rather than repeatable benchmark data.
Use the row closest to the display you actually intend to use. A 1440p monitor does not need to be driven at 4K, and a 4K monitor can be run at 1440p or 1080p as a troubleshooting choice if the Ultra row is not smooth. Those fallbacks are practical suggestions, not tested Retold-specific scaling results.
How should I choose DLSS, FSR or XeSS?
Start with the Quality mode named in your tier. Ubisoft lists DLSS, FSR and XeSS as alternatives at 1080p High and 1440p High, FSR or XeSS at 1080p Low, and DLSS or FSR at 4K Ultra. The specification does not identify a universal winner, provide image-quality rankings or publish measured performance differences for Retold.
- Use the available Quality option first. Pick the technology supported by your GPU and exposed by the game at launch.
- Keep the preset unchanged initially. This preserves the official relationship between resolution, preset and 60 FPS target.
- Compare only after launch. Inspect fine outlines and motion in the same scene, then keep the option that looks clearest without sacrificing smoothness.
- Record one change at a time. Changing the upscaler, preset and resolution simultaneously makes it impossible to know which change affected clarity or consistency.
Do not infer that a card supports every named upscaler from its marketing name. The final game menu and driver support determine which choices appear on a given system. The absence of XeSS from the 4K row also means you should not promise that it will be offered there.
Should the output resolution match my monitor?
As a starting point, yes: use 1,920 × 1,080 for the 1080p rows, 2,560 × 1,440 for the 1440p row and 3,840 × 2,160 for the 4K row. This keeps your selected display mode aligned with the way Ubisoft labels each target. If your monitor has a different native resolution, choose the closest published tier and treat any scaling choice as an experiment after the baseline is stable.

What does my PC need before I install the game?
Check the requirements below before buying or downloading. They are part of Ubisoft’s published PC specification rather than post-release measurements.
- Storage: reserve at least 33 GB on an SSD. A retrieved Steam page still showed an older 10 GB figure and an October 1, 2026 date; the later Ubisoft information says December 3, 2026 and 33 GB on an SSD, so the Ubisoft figures are the ones to use.
- API: DirectX 12 is specified for every tier.
- Memory: the minimum row lists 8 GB dual-channel RAM; all higher rows list 16 GB dual-channel RAM.
- Operating system: Ubisoft’s lower tier lists 64-bit Windows 10, while the higher tiers list Windows 11. Confirm the final store requirement when the game launches.
- Intel GPU setup: Ubisoft states, “ReBar must be enabled when using Intel GPUs.” Enable Resizable BAR in your motherboard firmware and verify that your platform supports it before relying on an Intel Arc example.
For a system with two memory sticks installed but running in an incorrect motherboard configuration, check the board manual or firmware information: “dual-channel” describes the operating mode, not merely the total number of modules. The capacity alone therefore does not prove that the requirement is met.
Keep the 33 GB figure separate from free-space headroom for Windows, updates and other applications. Ubisoft’s stated number is the available space required for the game tier; it does not describe how much additional room your particular launcher or future patch may need.

How do I apply a sensible settings profile after launch?
Use this sequence to avoid changing several unknown variables at once.
- Confirm the installation. Install to an SSD with at least 33 GB free, update Windows and your graphics driver, and verify DirectX 12 support.
- Check the hardware tier. Compare your CPU, GPU and dual-channel RAM with the four Ubisoft rows. Use the closest row your system meets; do not combine the 4K GPU with a lower-tier memory assumption.
- Select the display resolution. Set 1,920 × 1,080, 2,560 × 1,440 or 3,840 × 2,160 to match your monitor and chosen tier.
- Choose the listed preset. Set Low for the 1080p minimum row, High for the 1080p recommended or 1440p row, and Ultra for the 4K row.
- Set Quality upscaling. Choose Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS where your tier lists it. At 1080p Low, the published choices are Quality FSR or XeSS; at 4K Ultra, they are Quality DLSS or FSR.
- Check Intel ReBAR. If you use an Intel GPU listed by Ubisoft, confirm ReBAR is enabled before diagnosing performance.
- Observe consistency after release. If the game is not smooth, first move to the lower published preset or resolution tier. That is a practical troubleshooting step, not a measured Retold-specific improvement.
After each change, test the same gameplay situation for long enough to notice recurring stutter or uneven pacing. Do not treat one brief loading scene as proof of sustained performance. Ubisoft has not supplied a benchmark route, frame-time chart or test methodology, so any personal observation should be labeled as your own system result.
What should I do if the official target is not smooth?
Ubisoft has not published independent frame-time data or verified gains for individual switches. Use a conservative fallback order instead of assuming a particular shadow, texture or effects option is the bottleneck.
- Move from 4K Ultra to 1440p High, or from 1440p High to 1080p High, while retaining Quality upscaling.
- If your hardware is below the recommended 1080p row, use 1080p Low and Quality FSR or XeSS.
- Check that the game is really running on the intended GPU, that the SSD has the required space and that Intel ReBAR is enabled where applicable.
- Close competing workloads and confirm that the final game build and graphics driver are current, without claiming that either action has a measured Retold-specific benefit.
- Only after those checks should you experiment with any individual graphics control exposed by the final game. Ubisoft’s specification does not confirm a complete menu of shadow, texture, ray-tracing, frame-generation or synchronization switches.
There is no published Retold benchmark establishing 120 FPS, native-resolution performance, ray tracing, frame generation or a specific V-Sync setting. Do not treat screenshots of a menu, a retailer listing or a different game as proof of those features.

Is upgrading storage, memory or the GPU worthwhile?
The official tiers identify requirements and examples, not a shopping list or a guaranteed upgrade return. If your system lacks an SSD, the first compatibility task is meeting Ubisoft’s 33 GB SSD requirement. If it has less than the stated memory amount or is operating outside dual-channel mode, correct that configuration before comparing graphics cards.
For a graphics upgrade, use the target you actually want: the listed GTX 1660, RX 5500 XT or Arc A580 examples belong to 1080p Low; RTX 2060 Super, RX 5700 or Arc A750 belong to 1080p High; RTX 3070, RX 6750 XT or Arc B580 belong to 1440p High; and RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX belong to 4K Ultra. Check power supply capacity, case clearance, connector requirements and driver support separately. Ubisoft’s table does not certify any retailer model or guarantee that a particular board design will fit your PC.
A compatible PC game controller can be a useful purchase for local play because Ubisoft confirms PC gamepad support and up to four-player couch co-op, but a controller does not improve frame rate. Likewise, an internal SSD addresses the installation requirement rather than acting as a graphics upgrade.
Are the GPU names in Ubisoft’s lists reliable?
There is a visible naming conflict that matters if you are buying hardware for a target. Ubisoft’s September 23 news article prints “RTX 20260S” in the 1080p High row and “Arc B850” in the 1440p High row. The identifiable names in Ubisoft’s game-page specification are RTX-2060 S and Arc B580, respectively.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed

Use RTX 2060 Super and Arc B580 as the readable references, but recheck the live Ubisoft specification before purchase. Do not silently turn the malformed names into separate products, and do not assume that a retailer’s copied table is newer than Ubisoft’s page. This discrepancy is a reason to verify the model and not a basis for estimating performance.

Which accessibility and input settings affect play, not frame rate?
Ubisoft confirms PC control remapping, camera-shake disablement, Highlights and High Contrast Mode. These are comfort and readability options, not established FPS optimizations.
Ubisoft senior UX designer Andrea Scambia said Highlights and High Contrast Mode “help players more easily recognize interactive objects, collectibles, enemies, the main path, and player characters.” Choose them when visual clarity matters; there is no evidence that enabling or disabling them changes the published performance tier.
The PC version supports gamepads and up to four-player couch co-op. A compatible PC game controller can be useful for local multiplayer, while an internal SSD is relevant to the installation requirement; neither is a graphics-performance upgrade.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhat is confirmed about platforms and release timing?
Ubisoft’s current Rayman Legends Retold listing gives December 3, 2026 as the scheduled release date and lists PC, GeForce NOW and Blacknut among the platforms. Cloud availability, image quality and latency depend on the relevant service and access terms; the local-PC preset table applies to a Windows installation.
Because the game is pre-release, launch menus, patches, supported upscalers and final storefront requirements can still change. Recheck Ubisoft’s specification and the in-game options on release day before treating any preset as definitive. A retailer or store page that still shows October 1, 2026 or 10 GB should be treated as stale when it conflicts with Ubisoft’s later December 3 date and 33 GB SSD specification.
How were these settings recommendations chosen?
The recommendations follow Ubisoft’s September 23, 2026 PC specification: each published resolution is paired with a preset, Quality upscaler, CPU class, dual-channel memory amount, GPU examples, DirectX 12 and a 60 FPS target. The guide also accounts for the later Ubisoft release date and 33 GB SSD requirement, the ReBAR requirement for Intel GPUs, and the GPU-name discrepancy between Ubisoft pages. No independent benchmark or hands-on test was used.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will Rayman Legends Retold support 120 FPS on PC?
Ubisoft’s published specification defines 60 FPS targets only. It does not confirm an unlocked 120 FPS mode, a 120 Hz recommendation or the settings needed to sustain that refresh rate.
Can I install Rayman Legends Retold on a hard disk drive?
Ubisoft specifies an SSD with 33 GB available at every PC tier. A hard-disk installation would not match the published requirement, even if the other components meet a listed CPU and GPU class.
Does Ubisoft guarantee 60 FPS for every graphics card in a listed tier?
No. The rows are official target configurations, not guarantees or independently measured benchmarks. Driver versions, system configuration, background workloads and the final release build can affect actual frame pacing.

Will cloud versions use the same PC graphics settings?
Ubisoft lists GeForce NOW and Blacknut as platforms, but the local-PC preset table does not describe their streaming encoders, resolutions or latency. Check each service’s availability and terms when the game launches.
Do I need 16 GB of RAM for 1080p Low?
Ubisoft’s 1080p Low row lists 8 GB of dual-channel RAM. The 1080p High, 1440p High and 4K Ultra rows list 16 GB dual-channel. Match the amount and operating mode to the tier you are targeting.

Ubisoft does not publish an image-quality ranking or measured performance comparison. Start with the Quality option available for your GPU and tier, then compare clarity and smoothness in the same scene after launch.
Is Arc B850 an official GPU requirement for 1440p?
Ubisoft’s news article contains the text “Arc B850,” while its game-page specification identifies Arc B580. Treat Arc B580 as the readable reference and verify the live Ubisoft page before purchasing hardware.
Does enabling Highlights or High Contrast Mode improve FPS?
No performance gain is established. Ubisoft describes these as accessibility features that improve recognition of objects, collectibles, enemies, the main path and characters.
Can a single-channel 16 GB system use the 1440p target?
The 1440p row specifically lists 16 GB of dual-channel RAM. Capacity alone does not demonstrate that the published memory requirement is met.
What should I lower first if 4K Ultra is not smooth?
Use the next lower published profile as a conservative fallback: move to 1440p High with its Quality upscaler, then to 1080p High if necessary. Ubisoft has not measured a specific individual setting as the first bottleneck.
Is the 33 GB requirement still current if a store lists 10 GB?
Ubisoft’s later specification says 33 GB available on an SSD, while an older Steam listing showed 10 GB. Prefer the later Ubisoft figure and check the store again near launch.
Does a game controller change PC performance?
No. Ubisoft confirms PC gamepad support and up to four-player couch co-op, but an input device is unrelated to graphics throughput or the 60 FPS target.
The Bottom Line
Start with Ubisoft’s matching Quality-upscaling tier: 1080p Low, 1080p High, 1440p High or 4K Ultra, all targeting 60 FPS. Verify 33 GB of SSD space, dual-channel RAM, DirectX 12 and ReBAR for Intel GPUs, then recheck the final menus and requirements on December 3, 2026.
