Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare arrived on PC on October 29, 2024. The PC version adds support for 4K and high-refresh-rate displays, ultrawide monitors, HDR10, adjustable graphics settings, and modern upscaling features—but those specifications are support options, not a promise that every PC can run the game at 4K and 144 Hz.
What the PC version adds
Rockstar described the PC release as building on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions. Its announced PC-specific features include:
- Native 4K resolution at up to 144 Hz on compatible hardware.
- 21:9 ultrawide and 32:9 super-ultrawide monitor support.
- HDR10 support.
- Adjustable draw distances and shadow quality settings.
- NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling, plus NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation.
- Full keyboard and mouse functionality.
These are supported formats and features, not measured performance results. Rockstar and Steam do not establish a particular frame rate for a given PC, nor do their feature lists quantify how the image compares with a specific console version. The announcement does not describe a remake or claim that all graphics assets were replaced. Rockstar’s PC release announcement and the Steam listing provide the published feature details.
What’s included, and is there multiplayer?
The PC package contains the complete single-player game Red Dead Redemption, the complete Undead Nightmare experience, and bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. Steam states that the game does not feature multiplayer content. Rockstar’s store listing and Steam’s product page describe the included content.
