REDMAGIC 10 Pro official images show a flat, bump-free back and true full-screen display

The REDMAGIC 10 Pro has a camera-bump-free rear and no visible punch-hole, but its gaming-focused design brings trade-offs in weight, cameras, cooling and software support.

REDMAGIC’s official images confirm two unusual design choices on the REDMAGIC 10 Pro: the rear camera system does not form a raised camera island, and the front display has no visible notch or punch-hole. The phone still has a selfie camera—REDMAGIC places it beneath the display—and the rear is far from plain, with gaming-focused lighting, logos and cooling hardware.

That makes the design genuinely distinctive, but it is best understood as a gaming engineering decision rather than a purely cosmetic one. The uninterrupted screen, active cooling and large battery come with trade-offs in camera performance, weight, software support and mainstream usability.

What the official images actually show

REDMAGIC describes the 10 Pro as having a “fully flat” design with no camera bumps. In practical terms, that means the rear lenses are integrated into the body instead of sitting inside the large, raised rectangular camera islands common on flagship phones. The phone should therefore lie flatter on a desk than many conventional smartphones.

“Flat” does not mean featureless. Depending on the finish, the rear includes visible camera lenses, translucent or transparent styling, the REDMAGIC X logo, illumination and elements associated with the phone’s internal cooling system. It is deliberately a gaming phone, not a minimalist luxury handset. REDMAGIC’s official design explanation is available on its 10 Pro design page.

The landscape-oriented design also accommodates physical shoulder triggers, while the phone retains gaming-friendly features such as a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C connectivity and dual speakers. Exact connectivity and carrier support still depend on the regional model.

The front has no punch-hole—but it still has a camera

The REDMAGIC 10 Pro uses a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with a 2688 × 1216, 1.5K-class resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. REDMAGIC claims a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-thin bezels.

The front camera sits beneath the display. That is why the screen has no visible punch-hole or notch during normal use. “Full-screen” should not be read as literally bezel-free, however: narrow bezels remain around the panel, and the 95.3% figure is a manufacturer claim.

Under-display camera technology creates the visual advantage REDMAGIC is promoting, especially when playing games with fixed HUD elements or watching video. It also places the camera behind a display layer. The supplied specifications confirm the camera’s location, but they do not establish a precise image-quality penalty. Buyers should therefore treat selfie quality, video calls and low-light results as areas requiring independent testing rather than assuming flagship-camera performance.

Why the design makes sense for gaming

  • More uninterrupted screen space: There is no cutout competing with game interfaces, video or reading content.
  • Landscape ergonomics: A flat body and side-mounted shoulder triggers are designed for two-handed play.
  • Sustained performance: The phone combines an active cooling fan with REDMAGIC’s ICE-X liquid-metal cooling system.
  • Large capacity: The dual-cell battery is listed at 7,050mAh, which gives the design a substantial endurance advantage on paper. Capacity alone does not prove runtime.
  • Fast display response: The panel can run at up to 144Hz, although that does not mean every Android game renders at 144 frames per second.

Independent coverage has noted that 144Hz can exceed the frame rates supported by many Android games and may offer less benefit during ordinary productivity use. The feature is therefore most relevant to supported games, scrolling and users who value a high-refresh panel.

The hardware behind the look

Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite
Display 6.85-inch AMOLED, 1.5K class, up to 144Hz
Front camera Under-display
Battery 7,050mAh typical capacity
Charging 80W charger; REDMAGIC advertises support up to 100W
Cooling ICE-X liquid-metal system and active cooling fan
Dimensions Approximately 8.9mm thick and 229g
Memory and storage Official U.S. listings show 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 24GB/1TB configurations, subject to region and stock
Gaming controls Shoulder triggers and dual speakers

These specifications come primarily from REDMAGIC’s official product listing. The 2000-nit brightness figure should be treated as an official specification; its practical meaning depends on the measurement mode, such as peak or HDR brightness.

The compromises behind the uninterrupted design

1. The phone is not light

At approximately 229g and 8.9mm thick, the 10 Pro is a substantial device. The large battery and cooling hardware help explain that size, but users seeking a compact or lightweight everyday phone should not mistake its flat exterior for portability.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

2. The camera-first experience is not the priority

The under-display selfie camera is excellent for keeping the screen visually clean, but its placement introduces a technical compromise. The rear camera system and selfie camera should not be assumed to match a camera-focused flagship without independent testing.

3. Active cooling adds openings and complexity

A fan can help sustain performance during long sessions, but it can also add noise and create openings that raise practical concerns about dust and liquid exposure. A flat rear does not establish water resistance, and no IP rating was verified in the supplied material. A case may protect the phone while partially hiding the design or affecting access to cooling openings.

4. Software support varies by region

REDMAGIC’s current U.S. product information states that the company offers three years of software support outside the European Union and United Kingdom, while EU and UK customers receive five years under the stated policy. That is a software-support policy, not a hardware-warranty duration, and it may change over time.

5. Availability and carrier support require checking

The U.S. product page displayed a $599 sale price against a $649 reference price when checked on August 18, 2026, but the selected configuration was marked out of stock. That is a current page signal, not the original launch price and not proof that every memory configuration is available.

Carrier compatibility must also be checked by country, network and model. Supported bands do not automatically guarantee full carrier approval or every carrier feature. REDMAGIC explicitly directs buyers to verify compatibility. Regional charger types can differ as well; the company says North American customers receive a Type A charger.

Who should buy the REDMAGIC 10 Pro?

It makes the most sense for serious mobile gamers who value sustained performance, a large battery, physical triggers, active cooling and a display without a camera cutout. The distinctive transparent or illuminated styling is an additional benefit if you want a phone that visibly looks like gaming hardware.

Consider it carefully if you want a general-purpose everyday phone. The weight, fan, aggressive rear styling and under-display camera may be less appealing when gaming is occasional. A conventional flagship may offer a more polished camera system, simpler software and broader carrier support.

Look elsewhere if your priorities are best-in-class photography, a compact design, strong water resistance, long and predictable update support, or easy local repair. The 10 Pro’s strengths are concentrated around gaming rather than universal smartphone refinement.

Bottom line on the “flat back” and “full-screen” claims

The official images do reveal a genuinely flat, camera-bump-free rear and a highly uninterrupted front display. But the precise reading matters: the rear is flat rather than blank, and the front camera is hidden beneath the display rather than absent. REDMAGIC has traded conventional camera prominence and mainstream restraint for a cleaner gaming screen, active thermal hardware and a more distinctive chassis.

For gaming-first buyers, that is a coherent design. For everyone else, the phone’s weight, camera compromises, fan-related concerns, regional availability and support policy deserve as much attention as its striking appearance.
