Redmane Castle is in Caelid, and during the Radahn Festival it serves as the route to Starscourge Radahn. To open that route, either reach the specified point in Ranni’s questline or enter Altus Plateau and rest at a Site of Grace, then return to the castle. This guide focuses on reaching Radahn; it is not a complete room-by-room castle walkthrough.
How to activate the Radahn Festival
Bandai Namco identifies two ways to activate the festival and access Radahn through Redmane Castle:

- Progress Ranni’s questline: Continue until Sorceress Sellen tells you Radahn must be defeated to enter Nokron.
- Reach Altus Plateau: Enter the plateau and rest at any Site of Grace, then return to Redmane Castle.
These are alternative progression triggers; you do not need to satisfy both. Bandai Namco’s guide to accessing Shadow of the Erdtree describes both routes and the castle’s role in reaching Radahn.
How to get from Redmane Castle to Radahn
- Return to Redmane Castle after activating the festival.
- Traverse the castle in its festival state toward the encounter route.
- Take the elevator down to the beach, where Radahn’s arena is located.
PlayStation’s Elden Ring guide confirms the castle-to-beach route. The castle’s state is important: this guidance concerns festival access, not a full account of every room or encounter.
