Use it to gain 30,000 runes, or take it to Finger Reader Enia to choose between the Axe of Godfrey and the Ash of War: Hoarah Loux’s Earthshaker. You receive one reward per trade; the Axe of Godfrey trade also lists a 15,000-rune cost.
What does Remembrance of Hoarah Loux do?
Like other remembrances, it has two main uses: consume it for runes or exchange it with Finger Reader Enia for a boss reward. The item entry reports a value of 30,000 runes if consumed. Enia’s exchange offers a choice of the Axe of Godfrey or Hoarah Loux’s Earthshaker; trading for the Axe is listed with an additional 15,000-rune cost. Eldenpedia’s item entry lists these mechanics.

Should you consume it or trade it?
Choose based on what your character can use and what you need now. Consuming the remembrance provides a fixed 30,000 runes, while trading keeps its value in a specific weapon or skill rather than general currency.
- Consume it if you want the 30,000 runes now and neither reward fits your plans.
- Trade it for the Axe of Godfrey if you want a colossal weapon that suits your build and are prepared for the listed 15,000-rune cost.
- Trade it for Hoarah Loux’s Earthshaker if you prefer the Ash of War option and it suits the weapon and build you intend to use.
The sources establish the reward types, but not a universally best choice: the right option depends on your equipment and build. Remember that choosing one trade does not grant both rewards.

What is the difference between the two rewards?

The Axe’s item description connects it to Godfrey’s history: it says the weapon was broken in a battle during the Long March of the Tarnished and describes it as a symbol of his vow to act as a lord and of the golden lineage. Eldenpedia’s Axe of Godfrey entry reproduces that description.
Where do you get the remembrance?
Defeat Godfrey, First Elden Lord, at the endgame location identified by the item entry as Leyndell, Ashen Capital. The remembrance’s item description says Finger Reader Enia can unlock the power associated with its namesake, or it can be used to gain runes. The item entry provides the location and uses.

Can you duplicate it to get both rewards?
Remembrances can be duplicated at Wandering Mausoleums, but the cited item pages also report limits on trading for another copy of a reward you have already obtained. They do not establish the exact current restriction for every game condition. Check the duplication and Enia trade options in your game before relying on a duplicate to claim both rewards; the Fandom item page also discusses the item’s duplication and trade details: Remembrance of Hoarah Loux.
What does the remembrance say about Godfrey?
The in-game description, reproduced by Eldenpedia, says that after Godfrey was robbed of grace and became Tarnished, he took his kinfolk and left the Lands Between. After the Long March of the Tarnished ended, he gave up kingship and became a warrior again. The name Hoarah Loux refers to that warrior identity, making the remembrance’s choice between a weapon, a combat skill, and runes a choice tied directly to the item’s lore.
