Resident Evil Requiem released on February 27, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Capcom has not announced a PS4 version in its official platform notices; that does not prove a later port is impossible.
Is Resident Evil Requiem coming to PS4?
Capcom’s current platform listings do not include PlayStation 4. The company’s June 2025 announcement named PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and its later platform notices added Nintendo Switch 2 while continuing to list those newer systems. So the accurate answer is that Capcom has not announced a PS4 version in the notices reviewed—not that a PS4 port can never happen.
Do not confuse Requiem with older series entries: Capcom’s September 2025 announcement listed PS4 for Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village, but not for Requiem. Capcom’s September 16, 2025 announcement distinguishes the platforms for the three games.
Is Resident Evil Requiem available on Nintendo Switch 2?
Yes. Capcom announced the Nintendo Switch 2 edition for the same February 27, 2026 release date as the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions. The Switch 2 announcement confirms the platform and date. Capcom’s March 4, 2026 product update again lists Switch 2 alongside PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The release date has passed. Capcom reported on March 4, 2026, that the game had sold more than five million units worldwide since its February 27 release. That is a Capcom-reported sales figure, not an independently audited total. Capcom’s update also provides the current platform list.
What editions and Switch 2 extras were announced?
Physical editions
Capcom France announced a physical Standard edition and a physical Steelbook edition. The Steelbook edition includes the game and Deluxe Edition content. Regional editions, retailer stock, and present availability can vary, so check the listing for your country before buying. Capcom France announced these physical editions.

Controller and amiibo
Capcom France also announced a Requiem-themed Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and a Grace Ashcroft amiibo. The announcement establishes them as tie-ins, but does not specify the amiibo’s in-game functionality or confirm current stock. The controller is optional, not a requirement to play.
Other collectibles
Capcom France later announced 1/6-scale Grace and Leon figures for autumn 2026. The announcement does not establish current release status or availability. Check Capcom France’s announcements for the original product details.

Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as a survival-horror game and the ninth main installment in the series. The publisher says players can switch between first- and third-person perspectives in real time and select from multiple difficulty settings. These are Capcom’s stated features, rather than an independent comparison of how the platforms perform. Capcom’s game announcement identifies the installment and describes its features.

Can you play it through GeForce NOW?
Capcom France said GeForce NOW availability was planned for launch for people who purchased the game through Steam or the Epic Games Store. That is a separate route from buying the Switch 2 or console edition, and it depends on the purchase and service terms. Check current regional support and GeForce NOW’s terms before relying on it. Capcom France’s announcement gives the stated purchase prerequisite.
