Elpis is the keyword linking the death of Grace’s mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, Grace’s own past and Leon’s story. Capcom left the mystery for players to uncover; the showcase recap does not reveal what Elpis ultimately means.

What platforms is Resident Evil Requiem on?
Capcom announced the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam and Epic Games Store, with February 27, 2026 as its release date. Capcom confirmed the Switch 2 addition and date in its September 16, 2025 press release. Since the announced date has passed, the showcase is not evidence of current retailer stock or storefront availability.
The recap also announced same-day GeForce NOW availability. It said Steam or Epic Games Store purchasers could use the cloud service to play on lower-spec PCs, supported mobile devices and TVs, with a separate GeForce NOW membership required. That announcement does not establish the game’s current catalog status, regional reach or present membership conditions.

The event recap is a useful record of Capcom’s announcements, not a live inventory or service-status page. Capcom’s Integrated Report 2025 separately puts cumulative sales of the Resident Evil series at over 170 million units as of March 31, 2025; that is a franchise figure, not sales of Requiem.
