No—Dusk Golem did not say Ada Wong or Chris Redfield would appear in Resident Evil Requiem. On January 31, 2026, the leaker said the claim attributed to him was fake. He added that, based on what he had heard, he did not expect either character to appear “in any meaningful way.” That was his pre-release view of the base game, not an official Capcom statement or a ruling on later DLC.
Did Dusk Golem say Ada and Chris would return?
No. Dusk Golem, also known as AestheticGamer, denied making the claim that Ada Wong and Chris Redfield would appear in Resident Evil Requiem. TechJuice quoted his January 31, 2026 post: “I’m gonna’ snip this in the bud since people love applying fake rumors to me, I never said this, it’s a misc fake leak floating around. I don’t believe Chris or Ada are in Resident Evil Requiem at all either from what I’ve heard, at least in any meaningful way.” TechJuice

The key distinction is that he rejected the attribution and then gave his own qualified expectation. He did not claim to speak for Capcom, and “at least in any meaningful way” leaves room for a minor or otherwise limited appearance.
What does the denial cover?
The denial was reported on February 1, 2026, before Requiem launched on February 27. It concerns the base-game rumor and what Dusk Golem said he had heard at that time. It is not proof about every possible post-launch story or character appearance.

Capcom announced Resident Evil Requiem as the ninth main installment, built in RE Engine and scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 27, 2026. That announcement establishes the game and platforms; it does not confirm an Ada or Chris appearance. Capcom’s announcement
Is the Ada and Chris leak real?
The specific claim that Dusk Golem had reported both characters’ return is not supported: he said it was a fake rumor being attributed to him. That does not independently prove what characters are or are not in the game. The available official announcement does not provide a character roster, so the safest conclusion is about the source attribution—not a definitive claim about the full game.

iXBT also reproduced the denial and reported that Dusk Golem said some gameplay details were being kept hidden, citing Grace’s puzzle mechanics and Leon’s Porsche as examples. That report did not identify the additional mechanic he alluded to. iXBT’s report
Could Ada or Chris appear in Requiem DLC?
That is a separate question from the pre-release base-game rumor. An August 2026 Dot Esports report described a translated social-media claim alleging two expansions: one involving Alyssa and Leon, and another involving Ada and Chris. The report said Capcom had not announced those expansions. It also distinguished Dusk Golem’s rejection of a particular alleged Ada-and-Leon “Extraction” rumor from a blanket denial that Ada could appear in DLC. Dot Esports’ DLC report

There is later, more specific—but still limited—DLC information. On October 7, 2026, VICE reported that Requiem writer Haris Orkin said DLC would develop Oswell E. Spencer’s story arc further. That comment does not confirm the expansion’s setting, playable character, release date, or the rumored Ada-and-Chris pairing. In particular, it does not confirm a return to Spencer Mansion. Capcom describes Requiem as returning to Raccoon City and combining horror with action. Capcom’s anniversary page In October 2026, executive producer Jun Takeuchi described numbered entries as continuing the ongoing story, while remakes revisit the past. He also characterized the use of names such as Umbrella and Spencer, alongside Raccoon City’s return in Requiem, as preparation for a crossover. That is franchise context, not confirmation of Ada or Chris in the game or DLC. Famitsu’s interview report
How to read the claims
- Base game: Dusk Golem denied making the Ada-and-Chris claim and gave a qualified pre-release expectation.
- DLC pairing: The alleged Ada-and-Chris expansion appeared in social-media claims reported by Dot Esports; Capcom had not announced it in that report.
- DLC story direction: Orkin’s reported comment points to further development of Spencer’s story, but leaves character, setting, and timing unresolved.
- Official status: None of these statements amounts to Capcom confirming Ada or Chris for Requiem or its DLC.
Players looking to catch up can find Resident Evil Requiem on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as listed in Capcom’s announcement.
