Welcome to Elderfield is more RPG than conventional farming simulator. Its crops, animals, cooking, mining and friendships exist to prepare you for a dangerous turn-based adventure through a cursed town. Developer Chris Cote and publisher Kwalee released this single-player “cozy horror RPG” for PC on September 10, 2026. The result is an unusual hybrid: atmospheric and mechanically connected, but deliberately random, occasionally grindy and less socially or agriculturally deep than the genre’s leading life sims.
