Roblox controls vary by experience, so there is no single guaranteed button, key or touch-gesture chart for every game. To see the instructions for the experience you are playing, open its in-game Help menu. On Xbox, Roblox also provides a general controller map in the Help tab under Settings.
Where to find controls in a Roblox experience
Open the experience’s Help menu for its keyboard shortcuts, mouse instructions or mobile gestures. The exact controls can depend on the experience, so use those instructions rather than assuming a mapping from another game will apply. Roblox says experiences can have different rules, controls and mechanics.
On Xbox, the general controller map is available from the Roblox Menu. Go to Settings, then Help; while in Settings, press Right Bumper (RB) to open the Help tab. Xbox
Use the in-game controller map as your starting point, then check the experience’s own prompts for any differences. The menu path is Roblox Menu > Settings > Help. You can open the Roblox Menu during an experience and return to play after checking the map.

PC: keyboard and mouse
Open Help inside the experience for its keyboard shortcuts and mouse instructions. Roblox’s Help article describes right-mouse-button dragging to adjust the camera in Classic mode and using Shift to toggle camera modes when Shift Lock Switch is enabled. It does not establish a complete default keyboard-and-mouse map for every experience. Roblox Support: In-experience Settings and Help.
iPhone, iPad and Android
Open the experience’s Help menu to see its mobile gestures, and check any on-screen prompts in the game. Roblox’s Help article points mobile players to those instructions but does not reproduce a complete touch-control map in its accessible text. Controls may differ between experiences.

Camera controls and settings
Camera options depend on whether the experience developer has locked the camera mode. If the mode is available, Roblox describes two options:
- Classic: The camera stays fixed unless you adjust it. On PC, hold the right mouse button and drag to change your view.
- Follow: The camera rotates with your avatar as it moves right or left.
Shift Lock Switch, when enabled, lets you toggle between camera modes with Shift. The available modes and settings may therefore differ from one experience to another.

Finding menus, chat and other experience features
Menu features are not the same as movement controls. Roblox’s Experience Controls guidance says the menu shows features enabled for the current experience. Depending on the game, these may include Self View, Capture, Leaderboard, Emotes, Inventory or Respawn. Report Abuse is always available. The menu can also include communication controls for Chat, the voice microphone and Quick Words. Roblox Support: Experience Controls.
Chat on Xbox
- Press the controller’s Menu button to open the in-experience menu.
- Select Chat to open the on-screen keyboard.
- Type your message, then press R2 to send it.

Accessibility and interface settings
Roblox lists several settings that affect the interface or visual presentation rather than basic movement:
- Reduce Motion can disable or reduce certain screen effects.
- Background Transparency makes interface backgrounds more opaque, which can improve contrast and legibility.
- UI Navigation Toggle controls whether the backslash key enters or exits UI navigation mode.
For the settings available in your current game, consult its in-experience menu and Help instructions.
