KB4534310 is a Windows 7 rollup released on January 14, 2020. Installing it may address an update-related problem, but it does not make Windows 7 a currently supported Roblox platform: Roblox’s current PC requirements specify 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11.
What Roblox error KB4534310 means
The wording “YOUR WINDOWS 7 SYSTEM IS TOO OUTDATED. PLEASE INSTALL KB4534310” appears in a user question posted to Microsoft Q&A. It is a user-reported message, not an official Roblox statement that Windows 7 remains supported or that installing this update will resolve every case.
Microsoft identifies KB4534310 as the January 14, 2020 monthly rollup for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Microsoft documents prerequisites for installing it. Roblox’s current PC requirements say the app installs on 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 and requires DirectX 10 or higher feature-level support. Treat the Windows update and Roblox’s operating-system requirements as separate issues.
Try these five checks, in order
1. Confirm Windows 7 edition and architecture
Before downloading a package, verify that the computer is running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and identify whether it is 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64). Microsoft Update Catalog lists separate Windows 7 packages for x86 and x64, so selecting the wrong architecture can prevent installation. Use Microsoft’s Update Catalog listing to match the package to the installed system.

2. Check the required prerequisite updates
Microsoft lists KB4490628 and KB4474419 as prerequisites for KB4534310 and strongly recommends installing KB4536952, the latest servicing stack update, beforehand. Check whether those updates are installed and follow Microsoft’s documented sequence. Microsoft directs users to restart after the prerequisite updates.
Microsoft’s KB4534310 support page also says its issue is resolved in KB4539601 for Monthly Rollups or KB4539602 for Security-only updates. That is a Windows update note, not evidence of a Roblox-specific fix.

3. Try Windows Update or the Microsoft Update Catalog
Microsoft offers KB4534310 through Windows Update and the Microsoft Update Catalog. Try Windows Update first; if the update is not offered or you need a manual package, search the Catalog for KB4534310 and choose the package matching the Windows edition and architecture. Download Windows updates from Microsoft rather than third-party sites.
4. If installation fails, record the exact failure
Do not assume every failed install has the same cause. Community reports include a Windows Update progress bar reportedly stuck at zero, but that account does not establish a universal cause or a guaranteed remedy. Before attempting more advanced repair steps, note:

- The Windows edition and whether Service Pack 1 is installed.
- Whether the system is x86 or x64.
- Whether KB4490628, KB4474419, and KB4536952 are installed.
Those details help distinguish a prerequisite or package mismatch from a different Windows Update problem.
5. Check Roblox’s current Windows requirements
If KB4534310 installs but Roblox still says the system is outdated, compare the computer with Roblox’s current requirements. Roblox lists 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 for PC installation, plus DirectX 10 or higher feature-level support. Installing a Windows 7 rollup does not establish that Windows 7 is eligible to run the current Roblox app. If considering an operating-system upgrade, first check whether that PC supports the newer Windows version; the update sources do not establish eligibility for any particular device.
